Anime Expeditions: How to Get Silver Falcon and 5th God Hand

The Redemption or Sacrifice quest, 150 souls from Eclipsed Infinite, and which evolution item to pick.

The Redemption or Sacrifice quest, 150 souls from Eclipsed Infinite, and which evolution item to pick.

Update 2.5 added four units to Anime Expeditions, and two of them share a single starting point. Silver Falcon and 5th God Hand both come from the same base unit, Broken Falcon, and the same quest chain. The path splits only at the very end, when you decide which evolution item to trade for.

Quick answer: Talk to the Broken Falcon NPC in Crimson Shore – Act 1 to start the Redemption or Sacrifice quest and receive the Broken Falcon unit, farm 150 Redeemed Souls or 150 Sacrificed Souls in Eclipsed Infinite, then trade them back to the NPC for a Cursed Egg (Silver Falcon) or an Eclipse Shard (5th God Hand) and use it at the Evolve station.

Silver Falcon vs 5th God Hand: What each path needs

Decide which unit you want before you start grinding, because the souls you collect are tied to the meter you fill during a run. Souls are not interchangeable, so mixing card choices across runs slows both totals down.

Note: both evolutions consume the same base unit, so you will need a second Broken Falcon if you want to own both forms.

Start the Redemption or Sacrifice quest in Crimson Shore

Launch Anime Expeditions and open Story mode from the lobby. Select Crimson Shore – Act 1 and load in.
From the spawn point, walk to the left. The Broken Falcon NPC stands a short distance away and is the only interactable character in that direction.
Interact with the NPC to open the Redemption or Sacrifice quest window. The first interaction also drops the Broken Falcon unit straight into your inventory, so check that it appears before you leave the map.

Farm souls in Eclipsed Infinite

Souls only drop from Eclipsed Infinite, and only on stages carrying the Eclipse modifier. A standard Infinite run on an unmarked map pays nothing toward the quest.

Open the map select and look for a stage tagged with the Eclipse modifier. Any eligible map works, so pick the one your team clears most reliably.
Queue up and confirm the match from the Start Game prompt. The lobby needs enough participation before the button becomes active.

Place your units as you normally would for an Infinite run and clear the opening waves. Nothing quest-related happens yet, so treat this stretch as a normal defense.

At wave 5, the Pick Card screen appears with three upgrade options such as Enemy Vitality, Suppressed Damage, Extended Range, Divine Regeneration, Costly Upgrades, Empowered Strikes, Rewind Immunity, Trait Purge, and Boss Empowerment. Each card feeds either the Redemption meter or the Sacrifice meter, so choose only the ones matching the unit you want.

Keep picking cards on the same side as the run continues. Once a meter fills, a matching boss spawns, and killing it is what locks in your reward type.

Finish the stage. A completed run pays out 10 souls of the type you committed to, which means 15 clean runs to reach 150.

Trade the souls and evolve Broken Falcon

Return to Crimson Shore – Act 1 once you hold 150 souls and speak to the Broken Falcon NPC again. The exchange option replaces the quest description in the dialogue window.
Turn in the souls. Redeemed Souls hand back a Cursed Egg, Sacrificed Souls hand back an Eclipse Shard, and the item lands in your inventory immediately.
Head to the Evolve area in the lobby, press Select Unit, and choose Broken Falcon. With the Cursed Egg equipped in the recipe you get Silver Falcon; with the Eclipse Shard you get 5th God Hand.

You will know it worked when Broken Falcon disappears from your unit list and the evolved form takes its place with new stats and artwork.

Why your soul count is not going up

There are only a few reasons a run pays nothing, and all of them are fixable before you queue again.

  • You played a stage without the Eclipse modifier, so Eclipsed Infinite rules never applied.
  • You never spoke to the Broken Falcon NPC, so the Redemption or Sacrifice quest is not active.
  • You split card picks between both meters, so neither bar filled before the run ended.
  • You left or failed the stage instead of completing it, which forfeits the 10-soul payout.

The grind is fixed at 150 souls per unit, so the fastest route is picking one side, sticking to it for all 15 runs, and only then starting over for the other form. Iron Wolf (Struggler) and Elise Hunter (Savior) also arrived in the Absolute Dream update, but they sit outside this quest line entirely.
