Update 0.5 brings a Fate-themed roster to Anime Mysterious, and the new units split sharply between strong damage carries and a couple of placements that are not worth the resources. Ten units are covered here, sorted by the role each one fills on a team.
Quick answer: Prioritize farming for Saber, Gilgamesh, and Chosa. Saber sits at the top of the DPS group, Chosa is a top-tier tank alongside Qin, and Sin and Sakei are the weakest of the batch.
Update 0.5 Fate unit rankings
Units are grouped by role rather than a single letter grade, since a tank and a damage dealer are not competing for the same slot. Placement notes show where each unit lands relative to existing meta picks.
| Unit | Role | Placement |
|---|---|---|
| Saber | DPS | Top of DPS, near Laster |
| Gilgamesh | DPS | Below Gojo, Yuta, and Laster |
| Ishtor | DPS | Behind Gilgamesh, ahead of Atala |
| Atala | DPS | Behind Ishtor |
| Archor | DPS | Behind Atala |
| Sin | DPS | Behind Archor |
| Sakei | DPS | Bottom of DPS |
| Chosa | Tank | Next to Qin as a top tank |
| Lancer | Support | Behind Bodhod |
| Gabumara | Support | Behind Lancer |
Rankings here weigh each unit’s passive, its damage and survivability, and how it slots into a team that already runs the established meta carries. This reflects the Fate update (Update 0.5) roster.
DPS Fate units
Seven of the new units compete for a damage slot. Here are the base stats and grades shown for the ones with visible status panels.
| Unit | Damage | HP |
|---|---|---|
| Atala | 54.70 (+25) C | 41.35 (+25) S |
| Ishtor | 42.50 (+10) C | 92.50 (+10) C |
| Archor | 47.25 (+5) D | 96.60 (+0) D |
| Sakei | 26.40 (+10) D | 73.50 (+5) C |
Saber takes the top DPS slot, comparable to or just under Laster, which places it ahead of every other Fate unit in the update. It is the single best damage pickup from this banner.
Gilgamesh runs the King of Heroes passive. The first deployment refunds half the deploy cost, kills build stacking damage (up to +40%), and the unit gains Immunity every time it is placed. With allies in Defense Mode it picks up skill damage and, when all allies are defending, extra range. It lands below Gojo, Yuta, and Laster but is still worth building.
Ishtor uses Goddess’s Pride, which strikes the first enemy on the map on deployment regardless of range, then builds Pride Stacks every 2.5 seconds. At 10 stacks it hits a target anywhere on the map with bonus crit damage. It ranks ahead of Atala and Archor.

Atala carries the Huntress of the Wild passive. Attacks on far enemies inflict Bleed, and when an enemy dodges her attack she gains a large accuracy and crit chance boost for five seconds. Her damage grade is solid and her HP grade is high, but she sits behind Ishtor in the order.
Archor runs Unlimited Blade Works. Normal attacks carry armor pierce, breaking enemy armor stacks damage up to +35%, and with a Fate ally on the field attacks also apply Corrosion. Lower grades keep it behind Atala.

Sin uses Redline Logic, which drops an Ignition Zone at a random map spot every seven seconds. A meteor falls for heavy bonus damage plus Burn. If an enemy in the zone has more HP than Sin, the cooldown stretches to 13 seconds instead of 7. The randomness and the cooldown penalty hold it near the bottom, and it is treated as low value.
Sakei sits last among the damage units. Its Endless Mastery passive adds random Mastery Stacks every 10 seconds, each giving a tiny damage bump, but at the 999-stack cap the unit is hit with Curse. The low base damage and the self-inflicted downside make it the weakest pickup of the update.
Chosa, the Fate tank
Chosa is the only tank in the batch and ranks right next to Qin among the top defensive units. It is the third name worth farming for, since a durable frontline pairs cleanly with the damage carries above.
Support Fate units
Lancer leads the support group, placed just behind Bodhod. Its Scarlet Execution passive gives each attack a 30% chance to become fully accurate, and those guaranteed hits apply Bleed. When it triggers, Lancer converts base HP into percentage HP for itself and Fate allies, up to +50%.
Gabumara follows behind Lancer. Its Hollow Flame passive cuts the Burn damage allies take from enemies by 15%, and Wind element units, including Gabumara itself, apply Burn on attack. It is a role-filler rather than a priority target.

What to farm first
If resources are limited, Saber, Gilgamesh, and Chosa cover the three roles that matter most from this update: a top-end damage carry, a reliable second carry, and a frontline tank. The rest of the DPS units fill out a roster if you pull them, but Sin and Sakei are safe to skip, and the two support units only earn a slot when your team needs their specific utility.
