Anime Origins: How to Get Rainu Harto and Evolve the Sword Saint

Rainu Harto is a secret unit in Anime Origins that you cannot pull from the summon banner. The only route runs through Pleiadys Tower, a 3% key drop, and a one-shot trial stage that hands over both the unit and a matching title. The evolved form, Rainu Harto (Sword Saint), jumps to five figures of damage at level 70 and brings two passives built specifically for boss waves.

Quick answer: Clear Aguriya Sand Dunes (Pleiadys Tower, Act 12), farm Library of the Dead Act 2 for the Scorpion’s Key at a 3% drop rate, then use the key to enter the Sword Saint’s Garden trial and defeat the First Sword Saint boss.

Unlock Library of the Dead first

Queue into Aguriya Sand Dunes, which sits at Act 12 of Pleiadys Tower. Clearing this stage is what opens Library of the Dead, so there is no way to skip ahead to the key farm.

Pleiadys Tower stages apply seals that weaken your run, and blessings counter them. Library of the Dead carries Pride and Sloth seals, so Humility and Diligence are the two purchases that matter before you enter. Blessings work passively as long as the item sits in your inventory.

Farming the Scorpion’s Key in Library of the Dead

Run Library of the Dead Act 1 with a team. The win condition here is finding the Book of the Dead rather than surviving a set wave count, so keep pushing rather than turtling.

Move to Act 2. This is the only stage that drops the Scorpion’s Key, and the rate is 3% per clear. Expect a long grind and plan on repeat runs rather than a single lucky attempt.

Check your inventory after each clear. The Scorpion’s Key is flagged as a Secret rarity item with the description “Used to enter the Sword Saint’s Garden,” which is your confirmation the farm is done.

Sword Saint’s Garden trial and the unit drop

Use the Scorpion’s Key to enter the Sword Saint’s Garden trial. The key is consumed on entry, so a failed run means going back to Act 2 for another 3% roll.

Defeat the First Sword Saint boss. This is the hardest fight in the chain and can take several attempts across multiple keys.

Confirm the drop. A successful clear awards the Rainu Harto secret unit and unlocks the “Sword Saint” title. If the title does not appear, the boss was not defeated and the unit did not drop.

Evolving Rainu Harto into Rainu Harto (Sword Saint)

Level Rainu Harto to 70 by feeding it experience items. The evolution will not accept the unit below that level.

Buy the Astrea Dragon Crest from Shali’s Stash for 450 Scorpion Tokens. Tokens come from running the same tower stages, so the grind overlaps with your key farming.

Gather the remaining materials, which include Azure, Violet, Radiant, and Prismatic remnants alongside the crest.

Open the Evolve screen, select Rainu Harto in the Base Form slot, and confirm. The evolution adds 20% damage, three new upgrades, one new passive, and one new attack.

Traits are rerolled separately from evolution and are not required to complete it. Rolls land on outcomes such as Reach I, and there is no cap on how many times you can try before or after hitting level 70.

The evolved unit is a Nature element, Ground placement type with a limit of three on the field. It also gets its own custom character UI when selected in game.

Dragon Sword Reid keys off what the game calls a Worthy Enemy, meaning a boss or any enemy with health equal to six times the unit’s damage. When one enters range, damage rises by 75% and the unit starts applying counter-effects such as slowing, wounding, breaking hit shields, or adding physical and magic penetration.

Divine Mandate rotates through a set of divine protections, cycling to a new one every two waves. The rotation covers Wind, Precision, Mind, Phoenix, and Initiative, so the buff you have active depends on how far into a stage you are.
