Anime Origins Update 2.0: Every Sneak Peek So Far (Roblox)

A rundown of the Fate-themed content teased for Anime Origins, from the City of Uruk map to Endless Labyrinth.

A rundown of the Fate-themed content teased for Anime Origins, from the City of Uruk map to Endless Labyrinth.

Update 2.0 is the next major content drop for Anime Origins, the Roblox tower defense hybrid that mixes unit collecting with lane-based combat. The teasers so far point at a Fate-themed release, with promo art in the lobby, a new map, fresh units, an extra game mode, and a Battlepass headliner pulled from a different franchise entirely.

Quick answer: Update 2.0 is Fate-themed and has been teased with the City of Uruk map, Fate units including Archer (Ishtar) and Saber, a new Endless Labyrinth mode, and Hisoka as the Battlepass unit.

Update 2.0 teased content list

Everything shown so far has arrived through short teaser clips and image drops in the announcements channel of the official Anime Origins Discord server, plus a separate showcase video for the Battlepass unit. Here is what has actually been shown on screen.

City of Uruk map: Multi-lane layout and portals

The headline location is the City of Uruk, a multi-lane map built around temple architecture. The teaser clip pans across several lane pathways and multiple portals, which means unit placement will matter more than on a single-track layout. Expect to split coverage rather than stack everything in one choke point.

Fate units: Archer (Ishtar) and Saber

The unit preview covers Fate-inspired additions, with attack animations and ultimates shown for Archer (Ishtar) and Saber. Both are presented as full animation sets rather than static art, so they are finished enough to be part of the launch roster rather than placeholder teases.

No damage values, rarities, or banner rates have been shown for either unit.

Endless Labyrinth mode: Node tree and milestone rewards

Endless Labyrinth is the new game mode teased alongside the map. The sneaks include a Yasukuni Temple map image and, more importantly, a branching node tree interface. Each node sits on a path you pick through, with milestones marked along the way and rewards attached to them.

That structure suggests runs are meant to be pushed as far as you can go rather than cleared once, with the reward payout tied to how deep into the tree you get.

Hisoka: The Update 2.0 Battlepass unit

Despite the Fate framing, the Battlepass unit is Hisoka. His showcase covers a Joker-themed shiny variant and card throwing attack animations, plus two named passives that carry over from the source material.

  • Bungee Gum — one of his two listed passives.
  • Texture Surprise — his second listed passive.
  • Joker-themed shiny form, shown in the same showcase.

Hisoka is tied to the Battlepass, so he is progression-locked rather than something you can roll for on a summon banner.

Update 2.0 release timing and maintenance

Release details are handled in the Discord announcements channel, which covers both the Update 2.0 launch window and the maintenance planned around it. Expectations pointed at a weekend release, but no exact date and time have been confirmed publicly.

Maintenance is the practical thing to watch for. Servers going down is the clearest signal that the update is close, and it is worth banking any gems, rerolls, or Battlepass progress before that window rather than during it.

Where Update 2.0 codes will appear

Anime Origins does not post codes on its Roblox game page. They are dropped at the bottom of major changelogs in the announcements channel of the game’s Discord server, which is linked from the game group bio behind the “more” tag rather than from the experience page itself.

To redeem a code, start the game, choose Codes from the controls along the right edge, enter the code in the box, and press Redeem. Successful entries add the rewards to your account immediately, which you can verify by checking your gem total or reroll stock.

Anime Expeditions Update 2.0: A separate Roblox update

Anime Expeditions, a different Roblox game, also ran an Update 2.0 sneak peek campaign, and the two are easy to mix up. Its teasers covered Kite from Hunter x Hunter, shown in a dark forest scene with a scythe, and a sprawling underwater town map built out of bubble domes and coral structures.

A third teaser showed a figure floating underwater among bubbles, closing on a pair of giant teeth and a number 3 graphic. That points to Tier Harribel, the 3rd Espada from Bleach. Its Discord announcement ran under the title UPDATE 2.0 [SUMMER] and included the code 700Mvisits alongside dragon wish event details, with a matching Roblox event page under the same name.

For Anime Origins specifically, the safest read is that the Fate collaboration is the spine of Update 2.0, with Endless Labyrinth as the mode that gives the new units somewhere to be farmed. Everything beyond the City of Uruk map, the two previewed Fate units, the labyrinth node tree, and Hisoka’s Battlepass slot is still unannounced.
