Wrath (Assault) is the Meliodas unit added with the Wrath’s End update in Anime Vanguards, and it does not come from a banner. It sits at the top of the Battle Pass track, which means the only variable is how fast you can grind tiers. Once it is in your inventory, the unit works as a Curse-element damage amplifier that pairs directly with Escanor.
Quick answer: Reach Tier 50 on the Battle Pass and claim the reward to add Wrath (Assault) to your inventory. It is not summonable, so no amount of rolling on the banner will produce it.
How to get Wrath (Assault) in Anime Vanguards
The unlock is a claim, not a roll. Open the Battle Pass menu in the lobby, climb to Tier 50, and take the reward. The shiny version of the unit is claimed through the premium track of the same pass, so if you want the shiny model you need to own that track before you claim.
You know it worked when Wrath (Assault) appears in the Units section of your inventory tagged as Exclusive rarity with the Curse element. Obtaining it once also permanently registers it in your Unit Index.

What Phantom of Darkness and The Power of Friends do
Wrath (Assault) is built around other units rather than raw solo output. Its passive scales up everything on the field that shares the Curse element or the Evil category, and its active turns a single teammate ability into a burst window. Plan your lineup around those two lines before you invest anything into the unit.
| Ability | Effect |
|---|---|
| Phantom of Darkness (passive) | Buffs Curse element units by 50% damage. Buffs Evil category units by 80% damage and 20% base damage. |
| The Power of Friends (active) | Multiplies the next damage-dealing active ability used by an Evil category unit by 4. |
| Burn interaction | The unit cannot be burned, and always counts as burned for Escanor’s passive. |
Note: the 4x multiplier applies to the next damaging active from an Evil unit, so timing matters. Firing it while your big damage ability is still on cooldown wastes the window.
The Escanor pairing and the joint combo cutscene
The headline interaction is with Iscanur (Pride), the Escanor Vanguard unit. Wrath (Assault) is permanently treated as burned for Escanor’s passive while being immune to burn damage itself, which means the pair sidesteps the usual downside of that interaction entirely.
Place both units on the same track and activate their abilities together, and the game plays a special joint combo cutscene with a large damage payout. That is your confirmation the synergy is registering. If the cutscene does not fire, the usual causes are simple ones. One of the two units is out of range of the target, or the abilities were used too far apart, or one of them is still on cooldown.
Trait, Memoria, and stat setup for Wrath (Assault)
A unit can only hold one Trait at a time, and Traits are rerolled with Trait Rerolls. The Memoria attached to the unit carries its own trait, so there are two separate rolls to chase here.

Testing the build in Sandbox before you take it live
Sandbox is the cheapest way to confirm the buffs and the combo are firing the way you expect. Head to the stage selection from the lobby and pick a Sandbox run rather than a scored stage, so you can spawn what you want without losing progress.

Before the match starts, use Change Lineup to slot in Wrath (Assault) alongside Iscanur (Pride). Both need to be in the lineup for the joint combo to be possible at all.

Place both units within range of the same lane, spawn a high-HP boss, then trigger the abilities back to back. Watch for two things. The Curse and Evil damage numbers should climb once Wrath (Assault) is on the field, and the paired cutscene should play when both actives go off together.

Red placement zones on the map mark spots where you cannot drop a unit, and the blue lines show the path enemies will take. Use both to position Wrath (Assault) where its passive covers the largest number of Curse and Evil allies rather than where it personally gets the most attacks off. Its value is in what it multiplies, not what it hits.
