Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced: All San Juan Collectible Locations

San Juan holds three collectibles in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced, and all of them sit inside a small underwater cave that is easy to swim past. The location is at map coordinates 454, 463, and its entrance is deliberately hidden below the surface. Clearing every item here also feeds directly into your 100% completion run.

Quick answer: Dive down near the rowboat to enter the jellyfish-guarded cave, then grab the chest on the right, the data file in front of the locked chest, and the secret chest on the left. The secret needs a key looted from the large patrolling enemy.

The three San Juan collectibles

San Juan contains one chest, one secret, and one data file. Collectibles appear on your world map once you swim close to them or synchronize a nearby viewpoint, so approaching the cave will already mark the icons.

How to reach the hidden cave entrance

Sail to San Juan at coordinates 454, 463. From the water, look for the small rowboat near the shoreline. The way in is not on land, so do not waste time searching the surface.

Dive down close to the rowboat. The entrance sits underwater and is protected by jellyfish, so move carefully to avoid taking damage while you swim through.

Follow the passage up into the little cave. All three collectibles are inside this single chamber, so once you surface, you can grab everything without leaving.

Collecting the chest, data file, and secret

Open the money chest first. It is on the right side of the cave and is not locked, so you can loot it immediately.

Pick up the data file, which sits directly in front of the locked chest. This clears the data file collectible for the region.

Deal with the secret chest on the left side of the cave, positioned behind the data file. It stays locked until you find its key.

Loot the key from the larger enemy patrolling the area. Take him out, grab the key, then open the secret chest to receive money and a Weathered Map Piece.

Note: Opening this locked chest also unlocks the bronze trophy Among Thieves if you have not earned it elsewhere yet.

Confirming San Juan is fully cleared

Once the chest, data file, and secret are all collected, San Juan counts as 100% complete for collectibles. Each item you take is removed from the map, so an empty San Juan marker confirms nothing remains. The Weathered Map Piece from the secret is worth keeping, since these pieces combine toward a larger reward across the Caribbean.
