The green chair with headphones sitting on a platform above the ocean is the start of one of Big Walk’s trickiest co-op puzzles. It has no on-screen instructions, and the reward, a Red Finger collectible, is locked inside a box you can walk right past. The whole thing works on sound, so it only functions when two players split up and coordinate.
Quick answer: One player sits in the chair to start the music. The second player follows that music through the tunnel behind the Blue Tower until they reach the hidden box and a microphone. Speak into that microphone and tell your teammate to press the button beside the chair. The box opens and releases the Red Finger.
What you need before starting
This puzzle cannot be finished alone. You need exactly two players filling separate roles, and both roles must be occupied at the same time for the chain to work.
| Role | Job |
|---|---|
| Seated player | Stays in the green chair to keep the music playing, then presses the button on cue. |
| Traveling player | Follows the music to the hidden box, then signals through the microphone there. |
Tip: Do this during in-game daylight. The route runs through a tunnel and past scattered speakers, and darkness makes the landmarks blur together and the box far harder to spot.

How to know it worked
As soon as the seated player presses the button, the hidden box opens and the Red Finger becomes available to pick up. Some players find the mechanism needs the button held for a moment rather than a quick tap, so keep it pressed until the compartment releases.
| Reward | Description |
|---|---|
| Red Finger | A hidden collectible sealed inside the secret box, one of many scattered across the island. |
Why the puzzle stalls and how to avoid it
| Mistake | What happens | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Button pressed too early | The traveler has not reached the box, so nothing useful happens. | Wait until the microphone signal comes through before pressing. |
| Seated player leaves the chair | The music stops and the traveler loses the trail. | Keep the listener seated until the button needs pressing. |
| Following the wrong path | The music fades and you drift away from the box. | Turn back whenever the sound gets quieter and track the speakers. |
| Button released too soon | The compartment does not open. | Hold the button until the box releases the Red Finger. |
The design leans entirely on teamwork rather than a traditional lock-and-key mechanic. Once one player anchors the music from the chair and the other reads the sound trail to the box, the Red Finger comes out with very little fuss.
