Big Walk: How to Unlock the 100% Ending and Deliver the Last Gourds

Finish every purple post-game puzzle, drop your remaining gourds at the green dome building, and claim the final key for the Big Game ending.

Finish every purple post-game puzzle, drop your remaining gourds at the green dome building, and claim the final key for the Big Game ending.

The 100% ending in Big Walk, tracked as the Big Game achievement, only appears after the normal ending is already behind you. Reaching it takes a full sweep of every remaining puzzle, a delivery run for your last gourds, and one final key that opens a hidden room near where your walk began.

Quick answer: After unlocking the normal ending (Big Goodbye), complete all seven new purple post-game puzzles plus any normal puzzles you skipped, deposit your 15 remaining gourds in the green dome building next to the train station, then collect the final key when it rises near the start and use it on the locked room by the black sphere.

Two endings in Big Walk, and how they connect

Big Walk has two completion states, and one leads into the other. Big Goodbye is the normal ending you see after finishing the colored towers and the final black sphere sequence. Big Game is the true 100% ending, and it becomes reachable only once you keep playing the same save after Big Goodbye.

The endings are not a branching choice. Nothing you do at Big Goodbye locks you out of Big Game. The first ending is the campaign checkpoint, and the second one extends it into full completion.

EndingWhat it requires
Big Goodbye (normal)Finish the Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue Towers, clear the Black Tower, complete the final black sphere puzzles, then follow the red route across the water and enter the ending building.
Big Game (100%)Everything above, plus all seven purple post-game puzzles, every skipped normal puzzle, all remaining gourds delivered, the final key, and the hidden completion room.

What changes after the normal ending

Once Big Goodbye is done, stay on the same save instead of starting a new run. The world shifts in a few visible ways that mark the start of the post-game.

  • A keyhole now appears inside the black sphere in the tutorial room near spawn.
  • The large black sphere stays broken open, confirming the main ending is finished.
  • Seven new purple puzzles appear on the map. These are harder versions of challenges you have already seen.
  • Any normal puzzle you left unfinished before Big Goodbye still counts against 100% and must be cleared.

Note: The seven purple markers are not the only requirement. Big Goodbye by itself will not make the final key appear, so treat every unresolved marker on the map as work that still needs finishing.

Where to deliver the last gourds

Your remaining gourds go into a green dome-shaped building next to the train station. On the folding map, that spot is marked with a blue music note icon. The building holds slots for 15 gourds, and that total includes the seven purple gourds that spawn after the normal ending.

Open the train station map and look for the blue music note icon. That marker points to the green dome building where the final gourds are placed.

Head toward the stone archway near the building and find the red pedestal with a yellow button on it. Press the yellow button to open the shortcut door through the archway.
Go inside the green dome and fill the 15 gourd slots, purple gourds included. Delivering every piece to its matching room is what lets the world register full puzzle progression.

Collect the final key and open the hidden room

The final key does not rise just because the seven purple puzzles are done. It is tied to complete puzzle progress across the whole map, so if the key spot near the beginning is still empty, at least one puzzle or delivery is outstanding.

After everything is cleared and delivered, return to the final-key position near the start. Wait for the key to rise into place.
Assign the key to one permanent carrier and take it back toward the starting area. Avoid throwing it or passing it repeatedly between players during the return.
Use the key on the hidden room by the spawn area, set into the wall where the broken black sphere sits. This is the door that stayed locked during the main game.
Go up the staircase inside, take a seat, and stay for the full short reading. When it finishes, a bright white opening appears behind the group. Walk into it and remain in the sequence until the completion screen shows.

How to confirm the Big Game ending unlocked

You know it worked when the completion message appears after you walk through the white opening. That screen confirms the group has seen everything and unlocks the Big Game achievement alongside 100% completion, while still leaving the Continue option available.

If the ending will not trigger, the cause is almost always incomplete progress rather than a missing room. The most common reasons are a purple puzzle left unsolved, a normal puzzle skipped before the first ending, or a gourd that has not been delivered to its room. When the final key has not risen, go back to cleanup instead of pressing doors around the starting area, because the key is the reliable test that every requirement is met.
