Blox Fruits: How to Complete the Skylands 2 Golden Cloud Secret

Break Skylands' white clouds until the golden one spawns, then clear the chest guards and report back to Angel Guard.

Break Skylands’ white clouds until the golden one spawns, then clear the chest guards and report back to Angel Guard.

The golden cloud secret in Skylands runs on a mechanic most players never test, because the clouds floating around the village are not just scenery. Hitting them long enough spawns a special yellow cloud that drops a locked treasure chest, and the whole sequence ends with a short fight and a conversation with Angel Guard.

Quick answer: Attack the white clouds around Skylands in Sea 1 until the game says a secret cloud has spawned, break the golden cloud, smash the chest chains, kill the Strong Brute for the key, then talk to Angel Guard.

Where the Skylands golden cloud secret takes place

Everything happens in the regular Skylands island group in the First Sea, the Level 150–190 area with Sky Bandits and Dark Masters. The islands start at sea level and climb into the sky, and since Update 17.2 they are joined by bridges, so you do not need flight or air jumps just to reach the village.

Angel Guard stands behind a yellow house on the fourth and highest regular island, the same one that holds the Set Home Point, Master Sword Dealer and Quest Giver. He is labelled MISC. Angel Guard when you get close enough to interact.

Angel Guard is the NPC that opens and closes the secret, tucked behind the yellow house in the Skylands village.

Upper Skylands is a completely separate location reached through the temple at the top, built for Level 450–625 players with its own NPCs and secrets. If you climb that far, you have left the area where this secret works.

What you need before starting

  • Access to Skylands in Sea 1 and enough mobility to reach the top village.
  • Any attack that connects with clouds. No specific fruit, sword or fighting style is required.
  • Enough damage to handle a group of Sky Bandits at Lv. 150 and a Strong Brute at Lv. 175.
  • Patience for the cloud phase, since there is no on-screen counter tracking your progress.

How to spawn the secret cloud in Skylands

Speak to Angel Guard first. His dialogue asks you to recover the stolen Skylands riches, and choosing the option to continue registers the secret before you start hitting anything.
Fly or run around the upper village and start punching the plain white clouds. They break on contact with normal attacks and then respawn a short while later, so there is no risk of running out.

Clearing the ordinary white clouds around the village is what builds toward the secret cloud spawn.
Keep moving instead of camping one spot. Sweep across the cloud paths between the islands and keep clearing clouds until the system message announcing the secret cloud appears in chat. A handful of clouds is not enough.
Once that message shows, stop hitting ordinary clouds and look for the yellow one. It drifts around the islands and often sits high above them, away from wherever you were farming, so check the whole cloud route rather than the patch in front of you.

The secret cloud is a distinct golden version of the normal white clouds and usually sits well above the village.
Attack the golden cloud or fly straight through it. Keep interacting with it until the game confirms the outcome with the line, The cloud splits open and the Skylands chest falls out of it! You may need to hit it more than once before the locked chest is the thing that drops.

Opening the Skylands chest and clearing the guards

The chest lands on the ground below the cloud and cannot be opened straight away. Walking up to it triggers a dialogue box explaining that it is locked with diamond chains, with two options, Smash Chains and Sneak Out. Choosing to smash the chains starts the fight.

The fallen chest is bound by diamond chains, and picking the smash option spawns the enemies guarding it.

Sky BanditLv. 150Spawns as a group
Strong BruteLv. 175Drops the chest key

Every enemy in the wave has to go down, and the Strong Brute is the one that matters most. When it dies you get the message The Strong Brute fell! His key is yours. Open the chest!, which is your cue to interact with the chest a second time. The payout is $2,095, confirmed on screen with The Skylands treasure is yours, worth $2095. Go tell the Angel Guard.

Leaving the area as soon as the cash lands leaves the secret unfinished. The chest and the conversation are two separate requirements.

How to confirm the secret is complete

Head back up to the yellow house and talk to Angel Guard one last time. A waypoint marker with a distance readout points you toward him, so you do not have to hunt for the house again. His reply, which opens with a line about finally dealing with those pesky bandits, is the signal that the secret has been registered.

Angel Guard’s closing dialogue is the final confirmation that the Skylands secret has been completed.

Four on-screen checkpoints track your progress through the whole sequence:

  • The secret cloud spawn message means you broke enough white clouds.
  • The chest falling out of the golden cloud means you hit the right cloud.
  • The key message after the Strong Brute dies means the wave is cleared.
  • The cash added to your balance means the chest interaction worked.

The cash reward is small compared to what a level-appropriate player earns from regular Skylands quests, so the real draw here is ticking off one of the island’s hidden objectives. It also pairs neatly with the other two Skylands secrets, the Lightning Bolt delivery to the Mad Scientist and the Sky Castle vault code, all of which sit within the same set of cloud islands.
