Blox Fruits: How to Get the Tomoe Ring

The Tomoe Ring is the metal ring of drums that sits on your character’s back, and it is one of the earliest ways a fruit main can add flat damage in Blox Fruits. It is not a drop, it is not a craft, and no boss hands it over. It is a straight purchase from a single NPC in the First Sea, locked behind a stat requirement and a fairly brutal price tag.

Quick answer: Buy the Tomoe Ring from Yoshi on the second Skylands island in the First Sea for 500,000 Beli. You need at least 200 stat points in Melee or he will refuse to sell.

That 10% applies only to Blox Fruit attacks. It does nothing for your sword, your gun, your health pool, your energy, or your movement speed, which is the whole reason players argue about it. The ring itself attaches to your back once equipped, and it got a full visual rework in Update 30.

Requirements before Yoshi will sell

You must be in the First Sea.
You need 200 stat points invested in Melee.
You need 500,000 Beli in hand.

Open the Menu and check the Stats tab to confirm your Melee number, and glance at your Beli count while you are there. If either one is short, Yoshi will not open his shop at all.

How to buy the Tomoe Ring from Yoshi in Skylands

Get up to Skylands. A Portal ability drops you there in seconds if you have one slotted, but any normal route up to the sky islands works just as well.

Head to the second Skylands island, the one where the Sky Warriors sit. Yoshi is up at the top of the church building there, standing outside on the roof section rather than tucked inside.

Walk into the green circle on the ground beside him. The Shop interaction prompt appears once you are close enough, which is your sign you are talking to the right NPC.

Open the shop and take the offer. The dialogue asks whether you want to buy a Tomoe Ring accessory for $500,000 and spells out the 10% fruit damage boost. Pick Sure. to confirm, or Nevermind to back out.

How to confirm the purchase worked

Your Beli total drops by 500,000 the moment you confirm, and the Tomoe Ring shows up in your inventory under Items, listed as an Accessory with Rare rarity. Equip it and the ring appears physically attached to your character’s back, which is the clearest visual confirmation you will get.

If Yoshi answers with “You’re not ready yet, brat.” instead of opening a shop window, you have not hit the 200 Melee requirement yet. Put more points into Melee and come back.

Only one accessory can be equipped at a time, so wearing the Tomoe Ring means giving up whatever hat or coat you had on.

Is the Tomoe Ring worth 500,000 Beli?

For an early fruit user, the flat 10% damage is a real bump, and it is one of the few First Sea accessories that touches fruit damage at all. The problem is everything it does not do. There is no health, no energy, no speed, and no defensive value, so it stops mattering fairly quickly once you move past the First Sea and better accessories become available.

Half a million Beli is also a lot for a newer player. If you are still building up, that money is generally better spent on Instinct and Water Kung Fu first, then circling back for the ring later if you want the look. And the look is a genuine reason people buy it, since the Lv. 575 boss Thunder God wears the same ring, purely for style, without gaining any buff from it.
