Exact skill allocation, class mod, gear, and specialization picks for Rafa's Overdrive gun damage stack at level 70.

Rafa’s gun damage scaling has moved into absurd territory. With Temerario buffed and the Devastating Dancer class mod amplifying every Overdrive bonus, an Exo-Soldier at level 70 can push past 1,000% gun damage while the Peacebreaker Cannons are up, and hold it long enough to clear Mayhem 20 content without swapping playstyles.

Quick answer: Run Temerario at 5/5 with a Devastating Dancer class mod, stay at full health, and keep Overdrive active for roughly 10 seconds — your gun damage stat on the Skills tab should read above 1,000%.

Where the 1,000% gun damage comes from

Three pieces do almost all of the work. Temerario now grants +20% gun damage for every second Overdrive stays active, so the number climbs the longer your cannons are out. Devastating Dancer then raises your Overdrive bonuses by a further +50%, and Soltado doubles those bonuses on a kill. That is why the stat looks modest when you first trigger the action skill and then balloons a few seconds later.

The elemental skills stack on top rather than replacing gun damage. Vitriol adds +100% bonus corrosive damage at 5/5, though it will not apply to COV weapons. Concentrated Build Up layers bonus shock damage that stacks up to 20 times while you are aiming down sights, which rewards holding aim on a target instead of hip-firing between kills.

Note: Temerario carries a gun handling penalty, and it gets worse as your points in it are boosted past 5/5. Al Centro is what cancels that out, which is why it eventually needs to be maxed.

Rafa skill point allocation at level 70

Open the Remote Agent (red) tree and spend 5 points in Deft Hands, 5 in Juerga, and 3 in Maestro. Juerga matters more than it looks — it extends Overdrive uptime, which is the resource this entire build spends.
Continue down the red tree with 2 points in El Valiente, 5 in Barrage, 5 in Temerario, and 1 in Soltado. El Valiente only pays out at full health, so treat topping your health bar off as part of your damage rotation.

Switch to the People Person (blue) tree. Put 5 points into Las Jaras, 5 into The Thrill, 1 into Metal Management, 5 into Brain Dump, 5 into Jaque, and 3 into La Garza, then start feeding points into Al Centro.
Return to the red tree and finish it off with 5 points in Vitriol, 5 in Concentrated Build Up, 3 in Inspirado, 1 in El Alacran, and 1 in Beam Team.
Spend your last points topping Al Centro off at 5/5 and dropping a single point into El Catrin. If you would rather lean harder into shock, Awe and Conductivo are the alternatives worth shuffling those final points toward.

Action skill, augments, and firmware

Beam Team goes in as the capstone. Instinto takes the first augment slot for the critical hit uptime on your Peacebreaker Cannons, and Bullet-Buddy Deluxe fills the second — it is the slot you actually feel during boss fights, where Vitriol has a single fat target to chew through.

For firmware, Skillcraft is the pick here because it feeds directly into Vitriol.

Gear for the level 70 Rafa build

Only one item is genuinely mandatory. Devastating Dancer is what turns a decent Overdrive spread into a 1,000%-plus stat line, and a purple class mod will not substitute for it. Everything else below is a strong default rather than a hard requirement.

Best weapons for the Rafa Overdrive build

The Beaten Scraping Golden God shotgun is the standout. It does not break when it overheats, and it burns through an ammo type Rafa regenerates anyway thanks to Las Jaras, so you can hold the trigger for the whole Overdrive window instead of nursing a magazine.

The Panicking Hellwalker and the Constable are the alternatives, and both pull real value out of Vitriol’s bonus corrosive damage. The Extolled Crow-Sourced assault rifle covers the ranged gap when a shotgun is the wrong tool for the encounter.

Because Vitriol does not fire on COV weapons, skip them here even if the raw stat card looks appealing.

How to confirm the build is working

Trigger Peacebreaker Cannons, get a kill to proc Soltado, keep your health topped for El Valiente, and then open the Skills tab. About ten seconds into Overdrive the gun damage figure should be sitting north of 1,000% — a reading around 1,011% is what a fully assembled version of this build produces.

If the number stalls well below that, the usual culprits are short and specific. Overdrive dropped before Temerario finished ramping, you are not at full health so El Valiente is inactive, or your class mod is not a Devastating Dancer. A COV weapon will also make Vitriol look broken when the skill itself is fine.

Once it is assembled, the build holds up at the top end. Running The Shape of Slaughter takedown at Hadron Abyss on Mayhem 20, DPS readings land in the 35,000 to 60,000 range depending on the weapon in hand, and the odd fight-for-your-life moment is survivable rather than a run-ender.

The one real cost is farming. Devastating Dancer is the gate, and until it drops you are playing a weaker version of the same plan — so keep chasing Golden Gods while you hunt for it, since you will want both anyway.
