Captain Melrache Location in World of Warcraft (Tirisfal Glades)

Captain Melrache is a Scarlet Crusade humanoid you hunt down for the Horde quest “At War With The Scarlet Crusade.” He waits on the ground floor of the Scarlet Watch Post, a ruined stone scout tower on the ridge in Tirisfal Glades, guarded by two Scarlet Bodyguards.

Quick answer: Head to the Scarlet Watch Post tower on the ridge northeast of Brill and west of the Scarlet Monastery in Tirisfal Glades. Melrache stands on the ground floor with two Scarlet Bodyguards.

Captain Melrache location: Scarlet Watch Post in Tirisfal Glades

The Scarlet Watch Post sits on high ground between the Scarlet Monastery and Brill. Melrache spawns inside the base of the tower rather than out in the open, so you will not see him until you step through the ground-level archway. The easiest visual marker is the Scarlet Monastery to the east: the tower is downhill to the west of it.

Route to the Scarlet Watch Post

Begin near the Whispering Gardens, on the mountain ridge west of the Scarlet Monastery entrance in northeastern Tirisfal Glades.

Follow the dirt trail downhill toward the west and northwest. It leads straight to the stone Scarlet Watch Post tower. You will pass roaming Scarlet Friars and Scarlet Vanguards on the way, and you can run past most of them without stopping to fight.

At the tower ramp, deal with the Scarlet Vanguard and Scarlet Neophyte guarding the entrance. Clear them or slip past them to reach the doorway.

Enter through the arch at the tower’s base. The chamber immediately past the doorway contains Melrache and his bodyguards.

Enemies at the Scarlet Watch Post

The path and tower exterior are patrolled by hostile Scarlet Crusade troops. Inside the base, Melrache is flanked by two bodyguards you must also kill for the quest.

Captain Melrache — the quest target, on the tower’s ground floor.
Scarlet Bodyguard (x2) — beside Melrache; both count toward the quest.
Scarlet Vanguard and Scarlet Neophyte — guard the ramp and entrance.
Scarlet Friar — roams the trail leading down to the tower.

Melrache has no leash tying him to his spawn point, so he can pursue you far beyond the tower. Lead him to an area with enough room to fight, and clear the bodyguards first if possible.

Kill Captain Melrache and turn in at Brill

Engage Melrache and the two Scarlet Bodyguards inside the tower chamber. The quest requires all three kills: Captain Melrache slain 1/1 and Scarlet Bodyguard slain 2/2. Watch for Melrache to try to flee at low health, so be ready to finish him.

You know it worked when the objective tracker shows both counters filled. Once all three targets are dead, open your map and return to Brill to hand in “At War With The Scarlet Crusade.”
