Area exits and elevators take you from one area to the next, and the maps have 42 of these spots. Each area also has a Ferryman's Wharf, where the Ferryman's boat carries you between areas.
The Clock Tower has 13, the Main Hall 7, and Paris Streets and the Catacombs of Paris 6 each. In Paris Streets, the Gate to the Catacombs leads to the Catacombs of Paris and the Gate to the Stone Bridge to the Main Hall. From the Main Hall, the Bridge to the Clock Tower and the Bridge of Knowledge lead to the Clock Tower and the Library. The Master's Quarters Approach takes you from the Clock Tower to the Master's Quarters.
