Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse names your current goal on the map screen, but the objective text stays vague for long stretches. Inside Dracula’s castle it doesn’t change at all. Below is the main route in story order, using one path that works. Side areas and collectibles are left out.
Quick answer: In Paris, beat The Fallen, Medusa, Joan of Arc, and Death. Then go to Dracula’s castle for Talos, Carmilla, The Artist, Notre-Dame, Death again, the Scales of Justice, the real Isaac, and Dracula.

Stage 1. Head right along the docks. Go through the Undercity and the Ruined Market, then drop into the sewers to fight The Fallen. Next is the gate, and you get the Arcane Whip. Guides: The Fallen boss guide, where to go after The Fallen.

Stage 2. To open the gate, collect The Fallen’s Key, The Prophetess’s Key, and The Warrior’s Key. Make your way upward through the Court of Miracles, the Bridge of the Millers, the Burned District, and the Prison Tower. At the Street of the Tomb Masons, turn left for the Holy Innocents’ Cemetery. Medusa is in the Serpents’ Lair. Route: where to go after The Fallen.

Stage 3. Medusa’s defeat leaves the objective unchanged. Travel back to Paris Streets with a mirror, then ascend the Prison Tower until you reach the Roof of the Tower, where Joan of Arc awaits. Route: where to go after Medusa.
Stage 4. As you descend, hold L2 to activate Holy Light and destroy the Chaos Shards. Find the gate at the bottom left of the Paris Streets map, inside the Abandoned Sewers. Route: where to go after Joan; gate: how to open the Gate to the Catacombs.
Stage 5. Reach the Stairway to Hell by descending through the Path of the Abyss, the Charnel Galleries, the De Rais Necropolis, and the Realm of Old Night. Death awaits at the destination, and a cutscene ends the fight. Fight: Death boss guide.
Stage 6. Leave Ferryman’s Wharf for Paris Streets, then go west via the Court of Justice, the Palace of Justice, and the Docks until you reach the Gate to the Stone Bridge. Continue onward to the Notre-Dame Bridge; the Isaac illusion blocks your way to the castle there. Route: where to go after both Death fights.

Dracula’s castle: Clock Tower to The Artist (stages 7–10)
From here to the end, the objective reads “Find Dracula and defeat him”. The map stops pointing you anywhere specific, so follow the order below.

Stage 7. Go through the Entrance Corridor and the Grand Hall into Brauner’s Atelier (if its lower gate stays shut, see how to open the gate in Brauner’s Atelier). Read the sculpture there, but you can’t break it yet. Continue through the West Hall, the Library, and the Forgotten Bridge to reach the Clock Tower.
Stage 8. Reach Talos through the Path of the Builder and the Final Trap. Beating him gives you Smash. Fight: Talos boss guide; trap: Death’s trap is a false ending.
At this point, the clock on the Clock Tower Bridge leads into Death’s trap and a false ending. If you trigger it, continue from the mirror afterward. The clock route opens properly later.
Stage 9. Return to the Library by crossing the Forgotten Bridge. From there, pass through the Planetarium to the Observation Tower; use the astrolabe there to reach Carmilla. Defeating her awards Aerial Rush. Route: where to go after Talos.
Stage 10. Ride the Ferryman to the Main Hall. In Brauner’s Atelier, use Smash on the sculpture to obtain The Artist. During this stage, you can also open the eye door for the Circle of Greed (Mammon) in the Catacombs. Route: where to go after Carmilla; card: where to find The Artist.
Notre-Dame, Isaac, and Dracula (stages 11–14)
Stage 11. Equip The Artist. Go to the painting of Notre-Dame in the Gallery of Eternal Night, west of the Main Hall, and press INTERACT. Inside, find the Great Organ and three Melody Sheets. Then beat Joan’s rematch, and after that Death in the Transept. The Vampire Killer and Double Jump follow. Puzzle: Notre-Dame organ solution; fights: Joan, Death.
Stage 12. Find the sword clue in the Notre-Dame Chapel. Take the Ferryman to Paris Streets and balance the Scales of Justice in the Palace of Justice to get The Judge. Puzzle: how to balance the Scales of Justice.
Stage 13. Equip The Shadow (Soul Harvest) and return to the Clock Tower. The clock on the Clock Tower Bridge now avoids triggering Death’s trap; it instead takes you through the clock rooms to the real Isaac in the Heart of the Clock. Route: how to get to Isaac in the Heart of the Clock.
Stage 14. Go through the Master’s Quarters, the Sanctuary of Solitude (Mirror of Life), and the Throne Room Antechamber into the Throne Room. Beating both of Dracula’s forms gives you the first ending. Afterward, you resume with the same objective, and a second fight against Dracula leads to the other ending. Fight: how to beat Dracula’s two forms; endings: how to get the true ending.
