Control Resonant Carbon Copy Walkthrough: All 3 Parts and Both Artifacts

Carbon Copy is a three-part side quest in Control Resonant that follows Dylan Faden as he searches The Park for twin sisters Heidi and Hannah. It begins as a simple rescue, turns into a mold investigation, and ends with a boss fight against a mutated version of Hannah. Finishing every stage rewards two Untapped artifacts you can forge into Mother’s Locket and Medical Alert Bands.

Quick answer: Complete all three parts by finding Hannah, following the Mold clones to Park Factory, and defeating Hannah (Mold Plague – Apex), then forge both Untapped rewards at the formation station in The Gap.

What you need before starting Carbon Copy

The chain starts by talking to Heidi in an under-construction building in The Park. Reaching the sisters’ apartment relies on traversal abilities such as Reach or a high jump, since the entrance is on a rooftop reached by leaping across the district. Every key you need is handed to you during the quest, so there is nothing to buy or collect in advance.

Carbon Copy Part I: Find Hannah and report to Heidi

Enter the illuminated wooden building in The Park and speak with Heidi. She explains she cannot leave without her twin sister and gives you Heidi’s Old Apartment Key, starting the quest with the objective to find Heidi’s twin sister in the park.

Follow the quest marker south across flooded streets and rooftops toward Heidi’s apartment. Clear the floating Mold enemies along the elevated path, then unlock the exterior rooftop door and head down through the interior stairwell.

Inside the apartment, pick up the Letter to Hannah on the coffee table before moving on. It is an optional collectible tied to the sisters’ story.

In the bedroom, Hannah is by the window. Speak with her, make sure she is safe, and ask her to stay until an FBC evacuation team arrives. Your next objective becomes Return to Heidi.

Glide back across the rooftops to Heidi’s hideout northwest of the apartment and report that Hannah is safe. This completes Part I and rewards the Untapped Mother’s Locket.

Forge Mother’s Locket in The Gap

The reward arrives as an Untapped item, so it does nothing until you forge it. Head to The Gap and open Artifact Formation, select Mother’s Locket, and choose Create once you have the materials. The finished artifact adds +25% Damage when Dylan’s health is below 25%.

Carbon Copy Part II: Investigate the Field Hospital

After story progression, a radio call from Zoe prompts a visit to Dr. Florez. Open the map and travel to the Field Hospital in Central.

Speak with Dr. Florez to learn that Heidi has vanished, then examine the mold around Hannah’s bed in the ER medical unit, where she now lies unresponsive.

Collect the Medical Report: Hannah Garrett from the counter. It is one of two clues that redirect you.

Pick up Note From Heidi from the nearby, unoccupied hospital cot. Once you have both documents, follow the trail back to the apartment.

Fast travel to the sisters’ apartment and search the bathroom, where you find a deceased mold duplicate. Stepping out onto the rooftop reveals a crowd of static duplicate clones and triggers Part III.

Carbon Copy Part III: Follow the Hannahs and defeat the boss

Follow the line of Mold clones across The Park. Jump the wall of Mold and head straight down the street, avoiding the Mold enemies in your path.

At the end of the street, drop down to the parking garage and pass straight through to the other side. Continue until you reach a large group of clones standing outside the Park Factory next to a Power Core Station.

Speak with the real Heidi at the factory door. She hands you the Park Factory Key and explains she has locked a “changing” Hannah inside.

Enter the warehouse and try to talk Hannah down. She has fully mutated into a Mold enemy and only demands to see Heidi, so the objective shifts from saving her to defeating her.

Defeat Hannah (Mold Plague – Apex). She spawns spores quickly and can overwhelm you, so keep moving, use finishers and executions, and lean on fire abilities like Ignite or Inferno, which Mold enemies are weak to. The arena spans two levels, giving you room to retreat if you get swarmed.

Avoid the poisonous fluid Hannah leaves on the floor and her ranged infectious attacks, both of which drain your health quickly if you stand in them.

Before leaving, head through the red door to grab the box and clear the Mold covering it. Then return outside and speak with Heidi to complete Carbon Copy: Part III, which rewards the Untapped Medical Alert Bands and a Talent Point. A radio debrief with Zoe follows.

Both rewards drop as Untapped items and must be forged at the formation station in The Gap. The Medical Alert Bands add +25% Falter to all attacks when Dylan’s health is below 25%.

How to confirm the quest is finished

Each stage is done when the Quest Log marks it complete and the matching reward appears. Part I ends the moment Heidi acknowledges Hannah is safe and the Untapped Mother’s Locket lands in your inventory. Part III closes after you defeat Hannah, deliver the news to Heidi, and receive the Untapped Medical Alert Bands plus the Talent Point. There is no Part IV, so once both Untapped items are forged in The Gap, Carbon Copy is fully complete.
