The Park Resonant is one of the regional boss quests in Control Resonant, and it asks Dylan to do something unusual: deliberately eat Mold at four spots across The Park so he can reach the Resonant sealed behind a spiked gate. The quest technically opens early, but you cannot finish it until you have the traversal ability and enough story progress to move freely through the zone.
Quick answer: Eat the cafe Mold to skip the FBC Base step, then consume the Minimart, Pizzeria, and Gym Mold strains. Return to the first Mold to open the gate and defeat The Collective.

Requirements before you start The Park Resonant
The Park Resonant quest is added to your log as you progress through Welcome to Manhattan. When you find Zoe at the Watchtower, tell her about the far-off area to your right.
First, obtain the Reach ability by completing Subway Fault in the Evacuation Zone. You need Reach to scale the rooftop route to the first Mold objective, so you cannot finish this without it.

Head into The Park through The Park Checkpoint. Your objective will point you to the FBC Base to learn about the Mold, but you can skip that entirely. Go east of The Park Checkpoint and look for the “New Mold Strains?” point of interest on your map.
Drop down and you will find a cafe overrun with Mold. Step inside, ignore Zoe’s warning, and eat the Mold sitting on the table. This bypasses the FBC Base step and updates your task to eating three more Mold strains around the zone.

The three Mold strains in The Park
After the cafe, you need to consume three more Mold strains scattered across The Park. Here is where each one sits and the landmark to aim for.
| Mold strain | Nearby landmark |
|---|---|
| Minimart Mold | Southwest, near the East Supply Route Station |
| Pizzeria Mold | Research Site POI, southeast of the zone |
| Gym Mold | Parking garage north of the FBC Base |
Minimart Mold
Move to the southwestern end of The Park toward the East Supply Route Station. Use Reach to pull yourself onto the roof of the building here, then clear the enemies waiting on top. A walkable path leads to another section of The Park.
Drop into the street, take the right, and defeat the enemies ahead. Look left for a lava pool. The Minimart sits right next to it, with the Mold inside. Interact with it to eat it and clear the objective.

Pizzeria Mold
Go to the Research Site POI at the zone’s southeastern edge and look for the nearby lava trail. Follow it straight to the Pizzeria, then eat the Mold inside to complete the objective.
Gym Mold
Go to the northern end of the FBC Base and look for the parking garage to your north. Enter it and take the first exit on your left, which opens into a fresh section of The Park.
Continue along the street to a broad valley filled with Mold, crossed by a red trail that looks like lava. Follow the trail farther in to find a small room at its end. Enter the room and interact with the Mold to consume it, completing the final strain.

Open the Mold Gate and beat The Collective
With all three strains eaten, return to where you ate the very first Mold. The spiked tunnel there will now open, letting you through to The Collective, the Resonant guarding The Park.
The Collective is a large boss with several parts. In phase one, destroy its two worm-like tentacles while fighting off the minions crowding the arena. After both are destroyed, attack the boss’s body along the arena’s edge.

Deal enough damage and the boss escalates, summoning more minions and tentacles while firing orbs from its eyes. The tentacles are part of the boss, so hitting them chips away at its shared HP bar. Keep cycling between destroying tentacles and striking the body at the edge until it goes down.
Prioritize the tentacles whenever they respawn. Because their damage counts against the boss’s health, ignoring them only drags the fight out.
Confirming the quest is complete
Once The Collective is defeated, The Park Resonant is marked complete in your quest log, and you are given a choice of reward between Spore Burst and Growth. Clearing this Resonant also counts toward your zone completion, since every defeated Resonant feeds into repairing the Mural in the Gap.
