Oxcart stations are where you buy passage between settlements. You hand over gold, board the cart, and the ox handles the road. At a station in a settlement, talking to the driver before the cart leaves lets you choose stops along the route. The ride can be watched or slept through, though bandits and monsters do sometimes attack the cart. The map has 5 Oxcart stations.
Checkpoint Rest Town and Vernworth have 2 each, and Bakbattahl has 1. At Checkpoint Rest Town they are North Border Checkpoint Oxcart Station and South Border Checkpoint Oxcart Station. Vernworth has North Vernworth Oxcart Station and West Vernworth Oxcart Station, and Bakbattahl has Bakbattahl Oxcart Station. Most carts set off early in the morning, and if you turn up outside that window you can wait at the station until the next one leaves.
