The Atlantis biome in Drain the Lake is a hidden underwater zone that ends with a free Legendary reward. Reaching it comes down to a randomized biome roll, the correct bucket, and a short water puzzle that unlocks a sealed temple door. Clear all three and the Trident Bucket is yours to take.
Quick answer: Equip the Jewel Bucket, reach any checkpoint past Checkpoint 5 where Atlantis spawns, keep draining until the Jeweled Bowl appears, fill it to 100/100 L with the Jewel Bucket, then interact with the Atlantis Door and take the Trident Bucket from the pedestal inside.

What you need before you start
Only one bucket completes the Atlantis puzzle. You must have the Jewel Bucket equipped, because it is the single bucket the Jeweled Bowl accepts. Any other bucket triggers a “This bucket is not worthy” message and leaves the bowl empty.
The Jewel Bucket itself comes from a specific run outcome. Instead of taking the standard phone ending, skip it and reach the Angler Fish area ending. Completing that alternate route unlocks the Jewel Bucket so you can equip it on later runs.

Atlantis has no fixed location. The Atlantis update reshuffles the biome and checkpoint order on every run, so no two runs share the same sequence. The one rule that never changes is that the biome can only appear on a checkpoint past Checkpoint 5.
Because placement is randomized, Atlantis might show up right after Checkpoint 5 or much deeper in the same run. Some runs skip it entirely. If it does not appear, the only option is to start a fresh run and roll for it again.
| Condition | Detail |
|---|---|
| Spawn point | No fixed location; randomized each run |
| Earliest appearance | Any checkpoint after Checkpoint 5 |
| Guaranteed? | No; some runs skip Atlantis entirely |
| Required bucket | Jewel Bucket |

How to open the Atlantis Door

Note: If the door stays sealed, the bowl is not full yet, or you are not carrying the Jewel Bucket. Top the bowl back up with the correct bucket and try the door again.
Claiming the Trident Bucket and its badge
Past the door sits a temple room with a glowing green bucket marked with trident engravings resting on a central pedestal. Walk up to it, press E to take it, and you will see “You claimed the Atlantis Trident Bucket! Equip it in the Lobby.” A badge notification also pops in the top-right corner.
Collecting it awards the Lost Trident Badge, which pays out 150 Gems, and adds the Legendary Trident Bucket to your lineup. The Trident Bucket carries a 20% chance to scoop 3x water along with a +30% token earnings bonus. Aside from the bucket and its badge, the chamber holds nothing else to collect.

Treasure chests and crafting materials
The ornate treasure chests scattered around Atlantis and inside the chamber are decoration only. They cannot be opened, hold no loot, and exist purely to set the underwater scene.
Crafting materials such as Batteries and Generators do not come from Atlantis. Those drop from the wooden treasure chests found elsewhere across the lake, and whoever opens a wooden chest first claims the materials inside it.
Because the biome roll is random, reaching Atlantis can take several attempts, but the route never changes once you are inside. Drain until the Jeweled Bowl surfaces, fill it with the Jewel Bucket, open the door, and the Trident Bucket plus its 150-Gem badge are yours.
