Dress to Impress: How to Get All 5 Gems in the Scarlet Doll Quest

Every gem location, the two mini-games, and how to open the beach cave for the Scarlet Doll.

Every gem location, the two mini-games, and how to open the beach cave for the Scarlet Doll.

The Scarlet Doll Quest hides five colored gems across the Dress to Impress map, and collecting all of them opens a secret beach cave that holds the Scarlet Doll toggle for the Lana Doll. The gems are not simple pickups. Each one is tied to its own small task, from digging in the Backrooms to winning a beach ball rally.

Quick answer: Join a Free Play server, then collect the green, blue, yellow, pink, and red gems in any order. Once all five are in your inventory, return to the beach cave, press the heart icon to enter, cross the bubbles to the left side, and open the treasure chest to claim the Scarlet Doll.

Start in a Free Play server

None of the gem locations work outside Free Play. Use the teleport button in the bottom-left corner to reach Free Play mode before you start. If you switch modes partway through, incomplete gem tasks reset, so plan to finish the run in one sitting. Order does not matter, so you can begin with whichever gem is closest.

Green gem in the Backrooms

The green gem sits at the end of a short Backrooms route. To enter, leave the main dressing and runway building and walk toward the street. Near the black tunnel, turn left and open the blue door set into the rock.

Find Lana inside and go through the door next to her, then walk past the chairs and follow the path ahead.

Climb onto the runway on your left and move around behind it until you reach some empty wardrobes.
Turn left toward a small gap, enter it, and turn left again. You will see a Lana cardboard cutout with a door behind it.
Go through that door and start digging. The fake gems vanish, and the real green gem stays behind for you to grab.

Blue gem from the hammer, coconut, and fountain

The blue gem needs three items in sequence, so expect a bit of backtracking. It ties together a hammer, a coin, and a wishing fountain.

Go to The House location and enter the mint green house. Climb the ladder inside and head to the shelf room, then pick up the hammer resting on the bookshelf.

Head back outside to the big coconut across from the house, near the fruit stall. Smash it open with the hammer and grab the coin that drops.
Take the coin to the Recording Studios and find the snowy room with a fountain. Walk up and toss the coin in to make a wish, and the blue gem is awarded right away.

Yellow gem from lighting five lanterns

Five unlit lanterns hang on the sides of buildings around the map. Click each one to light it. The yellow gem appears only after all five are burning.

LanternLocation
1Exit the Recording Studio, turn right, and check the connected building’s grey wall.
2Take the stairs left of the Recording Studio and follow the path to the orange house; it sits beside the door.
3At the Freeplay entrance, go up the left stairs and look right toward the blue house.
4Back at the Freeplay entrance, go down the left stairs to the orange house with a yellow and green door.
5Head toward the road beside the beach, find the pink house on the right, and climb the stairs to light it.

If the gem does not appear near a lantern, check the main stairs leading up to the Free Play zone, where it can spawn instead.

Pink gem from the beach ball mini-game

This gem requires a quick prep step in the dressing room before you head outside. The game does not have a volleyball in its accessories, so you make one from a soccer ball.

Equip the soccer ball, then customize it and switch its style from Default to Beach Ball.
Go to the beach volleyball area and talk to the NPC there to start the mini-game.
Stand inside the blue circles and time your swing so you hit each ball as it reaches you. You need 20 successful hits. Flying coconuts can stun you if they connect, but there is no penalty for a miss beyond losing time, so keep going until you reach 20.
After the 20th hit, the pink gem spawns to the left of the volleyball net. Walk over and pick it up.

Red gem from the bird mini-game

The red gem is right beside the beach ball area and is one of the fastest to clear. It plays like a flappy-style flying game.

From the volleyball court, move to the right side and keep walking forward until you spot a bird stuck upside down near a tree. Interact with it to trigger the mini-game.
Fly through the rings to build points and reach a score of 35 to win. Yellow rings are worth three points each, so aim for those to finish faster. Hitting 35 ends the game and hands you the red gem.

Open the cave and claim the Scarlet Doll

With all five gems collected, head back to the beach cave and press the heart icon to enter. The cave entrance sits on the right side of the beach, down the path opposite the Scarlet NPC.

Inside, jump across the bubbles and floating objects toward the left side of the cave, where a treasure chest waits. Open it to receive the Scarlet Doll toggle. Completing the run also awards the “Scarlet’s Secret” badge, so a badge notification and the doll appearing in your inventory confirm the quest is done.

The Scarlet Doll is free to earn and needs no Robux. It first appeared in the Summer 2025 event and returned during the Summer 2026 event, so it tends to resurface with seasonal updates rather than staying available year-round.
