Far Far West: Frostburn now has a 12-month plan attached to it, and it stretches from this October all the way into the middle of 2027. The co-op shooter from Evil Raptor, published by Fireshine Games, launched on 28 April 2026, and the roadmap that follows it is broken into four delivery windows rather than individual patch dates.
Quick answer: The Halloween event arrives in October 2026, the Zurkers alien army arrives in December 2026, loadouts arrive in Q1 2027, and guilds arrive in Q2 2027. No exact day-and-time launch has been confirmed for any of these windows.
Far Far West: Frostburn roadmap release windows
Every milestone is tied to a month or a quarter, not a calendar date. Treat the windows below as the status of record until the studio narrows them down.
| Release window | What’s included |
|---|---|
| October 2026 | Halloween event, new objectives, increasing difficulty, weekly Jokers |
| December 2026 | Christmas event, new Zurkers army, Cryptic bosses revamp, weekly tasks |
| Q1 2027 | Spell system improvements, loadouts, weapon skins, weekly expeditions |
| Q2 2027 | Guilds, community goals, weekly bounty hunts |
Where the game stands before the next update
The current build is version 0.2.0.4 – 51052, the same Frostburn update the roadmap was announced alongside. Frostburn pulled in 60,000 new players and peaked above 11,000 concurrent players, with more than 500 bugs reported and over 70 percent of those fixed so far.
Player behaviour explains a lot about what the roadmap prioritises. Average playtime sits at 11 hours, 14 percent of players have taken a run on Nightmare difficulty, and roughly 70 percent play with friends versus 20 percent solo and 9 percent with online strangers. That heavy co-op skew is why the back half of the roadmap leans on guilds and shared objectives.
October 2026: Halloween event and the Pumpkin Jack skin
The Halloween event is the first thing on the list, and its headline reward is Pumpkin Jack, a legendary character skin. The event also brings a music disc, Yohan Jager – The Witch, into the mix.
Alongside the seasonal layer, the same window adds new primary and secondary objectives to runs, so mission variety changes beyond the existing rotation of tasks.

Difficulty that climbs during a run
October also changes how difficulty is applied. Instead of a run sitting at its maximum difficulty from the opening minute, missions scale up progressively as the run goes on. The early stretch stays lighter and the pressure builds toward the end.

Weekly Jokers
Weekly Jokers put a rotating set of cards on a seven-day cycle, each with a temporary buff attached. One example is the Life Pact card gaining shield generation for the week it is featured. The rotation resets, so a build that works one week may need adjusting the next.
December 2026: Zurkers alien army release date
The Zurkers are the game’s second enemy faction and they land in December 2026. They are entirely separate from the skeleton-styled Cryptics, with their own models, standard enemies, and bosses rather than reskinned versions of what already exists.
The existing Cryptic bosses get a revamp in the same window. That means new attack patterns and additional phases, with the extra complexity tied to the difficulty level you select.

December is also when the Christmas event runs, bringing a Rodulph fine mount skin. Weekly tasks show up here too, handing out gold or souls for completing challenges on a seven-day cadence.
Q1 2027: Loadouts, weapon skins, and spell rebalancing
Loadouts are the long-requested feature of the bunch. The system saves a full custom setup — weapons, upgrades, Jokers, and spells — so you can swap between configurations instead of rebuilding one by hand every session.
The spell system gets a pass in the same quarter, targeting spells that underperform, the combos between them, and how spell progression works overall.
Weapon skins finally give surplus blueprints a purpose. Instead of blueprints stacking up with nothing to spend them on, you can trade them for detailed custom weapon models.
Weekly expeditions
Weekly expeditions are the end-game piece of Q1 2027. They are high-difficulty content with exclusive rewards attached, refreshing weekly for players who have already cleared the standard content.

Q2 2027: Guilds, community goals, and bounty hunts
Guilds arrive in Q2 2027 and are built around NPC-led factions. Joining one gives you a specific progression track to work through, with rewards tied to that faction rather than to general account progress.
Community goals sit alongside them, setting a single objective for the whole player base — such as killing a set number of enemies — with rewards distributed across everyone once the target is hit. It is the same shape as the major-order systems other co-op shooters use.
Weekly bounty hunts round out the quarter. They repurpose boss models that were teased earlier and turn them into weekly targets to track down.

The practical takeaway is that only the October window is close enough to plan around, and even that one has no confirmed day or time. If you are sitting on unspent blueprints, hold them — they become the currency for weapon skins in Q1 2027. Everything else on the roadmap remains a window rather than a date, and any narrower timing will come from the studio itself.
