When the summer event goes live, how to reach it, and the shells, fish, and rods to chase.

Fischfest returns as the summer event for Fisch on Roblox, bringing limited fish, the shell currency, beach-themed quests, and new rods to a dedicated summer plaza. It is the longest-running event the game has scheduled, stretching across most of the season rather than the usual week or two.

Quick answer: Fischfest 2026 goes live on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET (9:00 AM PT / 5:00 PM BST) and stays active until September 5, 2026. Join the game after that time and use the Magic Conch in your inventory to travel to the event.

Release time: Saturday, June 20, 2026, 12:00 PM ET (4:00 PM UTC)

How to access Fischfest

Fischfest is reached through the Magic Conch, an item handed to you automatically when you load into the game during the event window. There is no level gate or quest needed to enter the plaza itself.

Launch Fisch on Roblox after the release time listed above. Make sure the game has updated to the live event version before joining.
Open your inventory and use the Magic Conch. This teleports you straight to the Fischfest beach plaza.
Once at the plaza, look for fish and shells washing up along the shoreline and the merchant NPCs who handle event trades.

You will know the event is active when the Magic Conch appears in your inventory and shells begin showing up on the beach. If neither is present, the update has not finished rolling out or you are on an older server version.

Shells, limited fish, and summer quests

Fischfest runs on shells, an event-only currency that washes up on the beach for you to collect. You spend shells with the Shell Merchant, who stocks baits, bobbers, a ship, and rods. A separate Merchant sells summer crates, baits, and rods as well.

The big draw is the set of limited fish that only appear during the event. These are summer and beach-themed catches, many of which require a specific bait, time of day, or weather to hook. The roster of signature Fischfest fish includes the entries below.

Because these catches are tied to the event, they leave once Fischfest ends. The season at the plaza is locked to summer, so weather conditions for these fish are consistent throughout. Summer quests with limited-time objectives and rewards run alongside the fishing, spread across the months the event is live.

Fischfest rods and their stats

Fischfest sells its rods through the event merchants, with prices split between coins, shells, and quest completion. The rods introduced at the summer plaza and their base stats are listed here.

RodCostLure / LuckControl / Resilience / Max Kg
Paper Fan Rod70,000 C$70% / 75%-0.05 / 10% / 1,500kg
Popsicle Rod3,000 Shells100% / 150%0 / 0% / 100kg
Tidal Wave RodComplete Fischfest quest50% / 65%0.1 / 20% / 30,000kg

The Popsicle Rod is the standout for rare catches thanks to its 150% Luck, which raises your odds of hooking higher-rarity fish. The Tidal Wave Rod trades luck for a much higher weight ceiling and better control, making it the steadier option for larger fish. The Paper Fan Rod is the cheapest entry point, bought directly with coins.

If you want the limited fish and event rods, the safest plan is to log in early and bank shells across the run rather than waiting until the final days. With the event active until September 5, 2026, there is room to clear the summer quests and stock up, but the limited catches and shell-priced rods disappear the moment Fischfest closes.
