FischFright 3, the 2026 Halloween event in Fisch, went live on October 17th at 16:00 UTC. It adds six limited fishing rods. Four come from NPC quests in and around Caustic Hallow. The other two come from rituals that only open after you clear earlier steps. No end date is confirmed yet, so treat every rod as a limited-time unlock.
Quick answer: Finish the Youngster Goblin, Beatrix’s cauldron, Webby Winston, and Doomsekkar quests first. Then complete the Dutchman’s Blessing Ritual and the Omniscient Ritual at the Caustic Hallow ritual grounds.
| Rod | Unlock source | Main gate | Treat cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boglin Branch | Youngster Goblin quest | 3 Boglin parts | None (pays 800) |
| Eldritch Rod | Beatrix’s cauldron | Hex Energy Level 11 | None |
| Webweaver Rod | Webby Winston | 16 houses, 2 catch tasks | 1,000 |
| Doomsekkar Rod | Doomsekkar quest | 50 Perfect Catches in a row | None |
| Dutchman’s Rod | Dutchman’s Blessing Ritual | Boglin Ritual, 3 Skeletal Hands | 25,000+ |

Reaching Caustic Hallow and earning Treats
Every rod is tied to Caustic Hallow, the event island. To get there, find the Flying Dutchman on the east side of Moosewood and talk to the Dutchman Captain, who sails you over.
Treats are the event currency, and the two ritual rods need a lot of them. You earn Treats in these ways:
- Selling FischFright 3 fish to the Frightful Merchant
- Turning in event NPC quests
- Trick-or-treating at village doors with the Candy Bucket
- Catching fish in Frightful Pools
- Opening Frightful Caskets and redeeming codes
The order matters more than speed. Goblin ingredients feed both the Boglin Branch and the Eldritch Rod. The Dutchman’s Rod and the Omniscient Spinecaster both depend on ritual progress. So start with goblins, run the two cavern and graveyard quests alongside them, and save Treats for the rituals at the end.

Every five minutes, three goblins spawn at one location. Possible spots include Moosewood, Roslit Bay, Forsaken Shores, Mushgrove, Snowcap Island, Ancient Isle, and several other islands, and a server banner tells you where they are. Each goblin gives you a short objective, such as catching a fish, dancing, or answering trivia. You have 15 minutes from the spawn to finish it.
| Goblin type | Ingredients awarded | Spawn chance |
|---|---|---|
| Default | 1 | 67% |
| Ghoulish | 2 | 25% |
| Eldritch | 3 | 8% |
How to get the Boglin Branch
Speak with the Youngster Goblin beside Beatrix’s Cauldron in Caustic Hallow to begin “FischFright 2026: Youngster Goblin.” The Quest Book lists five objectives.
- Complete 3 Goblin quests of Normal difficulty or higher
- Bring 10 of any Witch’s Ingredients to the Youngster Goblin
- Obtain a Boglin Skull
- Obtain a Boglin Twig
- Obtain Boglin Wraps

A green outline identifies Easy Goblins; completing Easy challenges won’t advance the three-quest requirement. Once you’ve finished three challenges rated Normal or above, parts of the Boglin can drop at any difficulty, with tougher challenges offering better odds.
| Challenge difficulty | Boglin piece chance |
|---|---|
| Easy | 2.5% |
| Normal | 5% |
| Hard | 10% |
| Extreme | 20% |
| Ultimate | 40% |
When every counter in the Quest Book is full, turn in the quest. You receive the Boglin Branch, 800 Treats, and 5,000 XP.
Hand the 10 ingredients to the Youngster Goblin before you feed the cauldron. The cauldron’s “Offer All Ingredients” option uses up everything you’re carrying.
How to get the Eldritch Rod
Beatrix the Witch keeps her cauldron by her tree in Caustic Hallow. Choose “Offer Ingredient” or “Offer All Ingredients” to add Witch’s Ingredients. Each one raises your Hex Energy, and a “+1 Hex Energy” message with your running total confirms it. Feed the cauldron until you reach Hex Energy Level 11, then claim the Eldritch Rod from Beatrix. Along the way she also hands out smaller rewards, including the Witch’s Pot furniture, the Coffin Bobber, and Black Licorice.
The bulk offer asks you to confirm. It also warns that some ingredients may be needed for rituals, and that you’ll have to collect them all again if a ritual fails. Once you claim the rod, it appears in your Fishing Rods menu.

Caustic Hallow quest rods: Webweaver and Doomsekkar
How to get the Webweaver Rod
Webby Winston lives in the Webridden Cavern, the cave under Caustic Hallow. You can work on his three tasks at the same time:
- With the Candy Bucket equipped, visit 16 separate houses to trick-or-treat; returning to a house you’ve already visited won’t count.
- Reel in 15 Cobweb Cod from the cavern’s green water.
- Inside the cavern, catch 10 fish bearing the Webbed mutation.

Finishing all three tasks pays 1,000 Treats. Winston sells the Webweaver Rod for the same 1,000 Treats, so the quest covers the full price as long as you don’t spend that money first.
How to get the Doomsekkar Rod
Doomsekkar is beside a large white pelican along the path outside Webridden Cavern, close to the Halloween graveyard bridge. His quest, “FischFright 2026: Doomsekkar,” lists three objectives:
- Catch 100 fish from Frightful Pools
- Perfect Catch 50 fish in a row from Frightful Pools
- Fight the spirits of a Haunted House

Frightful Pools appear for a limited time as glowing patches across the ocean. The first pair of objectives can be handled at once; however, you need 50 Perfect Catches in a row, and a single failed catch breaks the streak. To summon a pool instead of waiting for one, buy a Frightful Pool Totem from the Flying Dutchman for 3,000 Treats.
For the haunted house objective, follow these steps:
Once all three counters are full, turn the quest in. The Quest Book lists the rewards as the Doomsekkar rod, 1,800 Treats, and 20,000 XP.
Ritual rods: Dutchman’s Rod and Omniscient Spinecaster
Both rods are forged at the ritual grounds in Caustic Hallow. Rituals in the Rituals menu unlock from top to bottom. That means you first need to complete the Hexing, Scary Relic, Haunted, Jack-o-Moon, and Boglin Rituals, and each one costs 100 Treats to start. Offerings go onto two kinds of pedestals in the ritual circle: Skeletal Hands and Jack-o’-Lanterns.
Each Skeletal Hand has its own conditions before its awaken prompt appears. The items used to awaken them across both ritual rods are the Dark Art Skull, Ethereal Rose, Fable Rose, Gourdman’s Rose, and Davy’s Rose. The Dutchman Merchant sells Davy’s Rose for 5,000 Treats, limited to one per player. Dark Art Skulls drop from goblin challenges, and Extreme and Ultimate difficulties drop them far more often.
How to get the Dutchman’s Rod
Complete the Dutchman’s Blessing Ritual. Before it opens, you must finish the Boglin Ritual, reach the required Hex Stage, and awaken three Skeletal Hands. The Rituals menu lists the requirement as Hex Stage 2, but reaching Stage 3 is the safe target.
| Offering | Type | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Doomed Jagged Bone | Mutated fish | Fishing |
| Vile Poltergeist Perch | Mutated fish | Fishing |
| Grim Skeleton Sturgeon | Mutated fish | Fishing |
| Boglin Mummy Mackerel | Mutated fish | Fishing, not Shiny/Sparkling |
| Eldritch Corpse Cod | Mutated fish | Fishing |
| Grim, Vile, and Doom Skull | Skulls | Event items |
| Coffin | Fish | Event item |
| Rotten Jack-o-Lantern | Item | Event item |
| Dutchman’s Grasp | Item | 25,000 Treats, Flying Dutchman |
The Flying Dutchman merchant moves around Caustic Hallow, so look up at the sky when you’re trying to find it.
How to get the Omniscient Spinecaster
The Omniscient Ritual is the last unlock in the chain. It requires a completed Eldritch Ritual, Hex Stage 5, and all five Skeletal Hands awakened.

Place these offerings on the Jack-o’-Lantern pedestals:
- Grim, Vile, Doomed, and Eldritch mutated Jagged Bones (one each)
- Zombie Nessie and Plush Nessie
- Dark Art Skull
Place these on the Skeletal Hand pedestals:
- Boglin mutated Jagged Bone (not Shiny or Sparkling)
- Doomsekkar mutated Jagged Bone
- Dutchman’s Curse mutated Jagged Bone
- Omniscient Souls and Omniscient Bone
The Rituals menu also names Mutated, Zombie, Flesh, and Dark Art Nessie variants. Check the Nessie lines on your own menu before you start fishing for them.
Shiny or Sparkling Boglin fish don’t work for either ritual. Keep plain copies, and don’t sell any mutated Jagged Bones until both rituals are done.
FischFright 3 rod stats and passives
| Rod | Lure Speed | Luck | Resilience |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boglin Branch | 80% | 180% | 20% |
| Eldritch Rod | 90% | 230% | 15% |
| Webweaver Rod | 125% | 250% | 10% |
| Doomsekkar Rod | 100% | 275% | -666% |
| Dutchman’s Rod | 100% | Not confirmed | 10% |
| Omniscient Spinecaster | 120% | 300% | 30% |
Control is 0.03 on the Webweaver Rod, 0.05 on the Boglin Branch, Eldritch Rod, and Omniscient Spinecaster, and 0.1 on the Doomsekkar and Dutchman’s rods. Every rod has an infinite Max Kg except the Boglin Branch, which caps at 550,000 kg.
Webweaver Rod spawns one to three spider minions roughly every 10 seconds while you fish. They shoot webs into the water, pull up catches on their own, and give nearby fish the Webbed mutation. In the minigame, filling the venom icons adds up to +25% Progress Speed.
Doomsekkar Rod places small pumpkin bombs in the minigame. When the fish moves toward one, you gain extra Progress Speed, and fish can also roll the Doomsekkar mutation. The negative Resilience is real, not a typo, so think twice before using it for boss fishing.
Omniscient Spinecaster adds +50% Progress Speed and switches between two forms. Offensive form gives more progress but lowers catch rate and pulling strength. Defensive form does the opposite.
You can check every unlock in two places. Quest rods flip their Quest Book counters to complete and pay out on turn-in. Ritual rods appear in your Fishing Rods menu with the stats listed above once the ritual finishes.
