Skycrest Island adds nine Charms you can slot into the Crest Amulet, and each one feeds a passive stat bonus into your fishing. Seven come from the stone-carved Ancient Idols scattered around the island, and the last two are locked behind extreme trials that only appear during special squall weather. Here is exactly where each Charm comes from and what it does once equipped.
Quick answer: Clear the trials at all seven Ancient Idols to earn seven Charms, then complete the Tropical Squall and Raging Squall trials to unlock the Titanic and Flash Charms. Equip them through the Crest Amulet you receive from the Keeper.
All 9 Skycrest Charms and their passive effects
Every Charm targets a single fishing stat. Once slotted into the Crest Amulet, its effect scales as you level it up by catching fish on Skycrest, so the numbers grow the longer you fish with it equipped.

Equip and level Charms with the Crest Amulet
The Crest Amulet comes from the Keeper and is what actually holds your Charms. It can carry up to nine at once, with slots unlocking as your Idol Favor level climbs. Slot a Charm, keep fishing on Skycrest, and its level rises over time, pushing the passive to a stronger value than its base.
Idol Favor gates nearly everything on the island, including the idol trials themselves. If a trial refuses to start, your Favor level is usually too low, so build it up first by fishing the idol pond and clearing Master Hiroto’s timed angler challenges before chasing the harder Charms.
Charms from the Ancient Idol trials
Seven Ancient Idols sit around Skycrest, each with its own set of trials. Finish every trial at an idol and it hands over one Charm. The Hayate idol rewards the Swiftness Charm, while the six idols below each have a full trial list.
Amanojaku Idol – Pester Charm

Titanic and Flash Charms from squall weather trials
The last two Charms, Titanic and Flash, do not come from the standard idol trials. Each Ancient Idol has an extreme trial set that only activates during the Tropical Squall and Raging Squall weather events. You can trigger those conditions with the matching Totems, and one straightforward way to force a squall is buying a Tropical Squall Totem from Elder Kaito’s weekly shop.
Clear the Raging and Tropical Squall trials to earn the Titanic Charm, which raises Fish Weight, and the Flash Charm, which raises Progress Speed. Both slot into the Crest Amulet like the others and scale with fishing on Skycrest.
How to confirm a Charm unlocked
An idol hands over its Charm the moment you finish its final trial, and it appears ready to slot into the Crest Amulet. If a trial will not begin or the Charm never registers, the usual cause is an Idol Favor level that is too low for that content, so raising your Favor and returning is the fix. Keep every earned Charm equipped while you fish Skycrest, since that is the only way their passives climb past their base values.
