Fisch Roblox: Full Guide to the Skycrest Update

How to reach Skycrest, build Idol Favor, place all 10 Sky Crystals, defeat Abaia, and unlock every new rod.

Skycrest is a floating island added to Fisch on September 5, 2026 as a Fischfest expansion, and it runs on its own progression track called Idol Favor. Almost every reward on the island — companions, charms, crystal placements, boss access — is gated behind that level, so the order you do things in matters more than usual.

Quick answer: Reach Skycrest from Fischfest, take the Crest Amulet from the Keeper of the Sky, then grind Idol Favor by fishing the idol pond until you can collect and place all 10 Sky Crystals, which opens Abaia’s Chamber.

How to reach Skycrest Island

Access currently runs through the Fischfest area, which is scheduled to leave on September 12th. Skycrest itself stays in the game after that, but the limited Fischfest content tied to it does not.

Travel to Fischfest and head to the far end of the town. The route to the island starts at the very back of the festival grounds.
Climb the large waterfall behind the town. The Fischfest clam cannon also launches you high enough to glide across to the floating island if you would rather skip the climb.
Once you land, set a Mirror warp point immediately. You will be leaving and returning constantly for Sky Crystals, and the warp saves a lot of travel time.
Redeem the code SkycrestIsInTheSky in the settings menu. It pays out 1000 Coins, a Banana Boat, Fisch N Dobs, a Coral Pearl, Cotton Candy Pieces, a Tropical Fruit Mix, and a Colossal Dragon Hunt Totem.

Idol Favor and the Crest Amulet

Idol Favor is the levelling system exclusive to Skycrest. Every gate on the island reads that number, so treat it as your first priority before chasing rods.

The Crest Amulet comes from the winged NPC near the landing point. It is an accessory that holds stat-boosting Charms, up to nine at once, with the slots opening as your Idol Favor level climbs. Charms level up by catching fish inside Skycrest, and they scale Luck, Control, Resilience, Max Weight, Lure Speed, and Progress Speed.

The quickest early Favor comes from simply fishing the stone idol pond with a fast rod — the Toxinburst works well — and clearing the first Keeper of the Sky task, which asks for 10 catches at Skycrest. Master Hiroto’s timed angler challenges scale to your current level and hand out much larger Favor rewards, so switch to those once you can survive the difficulty. His opening challenge asks for a Celestial Pearl Danio within 15 minutes and pays an unsellable Crested Relic.

Ancient Idol trials and all Charms

Seven stone-carved Ancient Idols sit around the island: Hayate, Ebisu, Fudo, Nagomi, Goriki, Shunsoku, and Amanojaku. Each one runs its own set of trials, and clearing them is how you earn Charms for the amulet. The trials are not all fishing — Nagomi’s first trial only asks you to stand completely still for 60 seconds.

FlashExtreme idol trial during a Tropical Squall or Raging Squall

Note: the two squall-locked Charms are the strongest in the set, but the weather events they need are also when the island is most dangerous and most crowded. Have a fight-ready rod equipped before the squall rolls in.

Idol Taiga companion: taming requirements

Idol Taiga is the new companion, and it is the single best quality-of-life unlock on the island. Before you can tame it, catch the four night-time roaming firefly variants that spawn around Skycrest: Firefly, Loopy Five, Blue Ghost, and Gombak Bent-Winged. They double as high-tier bait.

With enough Idol Favor banked, wait for a Tropical Squall, find the roaming Taiga near an Ancient Idol, and feed it fireflies. Once tamed, its passives boost your Charm effects, generate extra Idol Favor, spear roaming fish, and automatically burn catches below Legendary rarity as offerings for XP and Favor.

All 10 Sky Crystals and their Idol Level requirements

The Keeper of the Sky’s main questline sends you back across the old map to recover 10 Sky Crystals. They are spread over Moosewood, Terrapin Island, Roslit Bay, Snowcap Island, Forsaken Shores, the Jungle, Castaway Cliffs, Ancient Isles, Northern Expedition, and Scoria Reach. Each one checks your Idol Level before it can be taken and placed, so the list below is effectively your progression checklist.

Living Sky CrystalIdol Level 15
Mountain Sky CrystalIdol Level 20
Prismatic Sky CrystalIdol Level 30
Divine Sky CrystalIdol Level 40
Infernal Sky CrystalIdol Level 50

All 10 slot into the giant gate back at Skycrest. When the last crystal is seated, the gate opens and Abaia’s Chamber becomes accessible — that is your confirmation the questline has progressed. If a crystal will not pick up or place, the cause is almost always an Idol Level below the threshold above, not a bug.

Fire of Spirits and the Abaia hunt

The Fire of Spirits is tied to the Tropical Squall. During the squall, sacrificing caught fish into the flame expands it, which raises luck and weather spawn rates for everyone nearby. Keep feeding it and the Abaia Hunt triggers.

Abaia does not fight you straight away. You chase it through the subterranean outer ponds first, hooking it to strip its barrier down, and only then face it directly inside the chamber. The fight itself is a damage race against its biting attack, which you need to dodge while keeping pressure on it.

Return to the Keeper of the Sky after the kill. The payout is the Line of the Skies rod, the Sky Keeper title, and an Empyrean Relic. The Empyrean Relic is worth holding onto — Forge Master Torru trades it for the Empyrean Idol skin at Idol Favor Level 50, and it is also a crafting ingredient for the strongest rod in the update.

Every new rod and how to unlock it

Five new fishing rods arrive with Skycrest, alongside a harpoon gun and a spear. The unlock paths are very different in length, so pick based on what your Idol Favor can currently support.

Ancient Idol RodForge Master Torru’s quest — catch 5 giant fish at Skycrest and unlock all 7 ancient idol charms

Abaia’s SpiteCrafted at the witch using Line of the Skies, Squalled Abaia, Ancestral Abaia, an Empyrean Relic, a Petrified Mutation, and 750,000 C$

Aero’s questline ends in a choice. Take the Breeze Caster rod or the Breeze Guster harpoon, which runs 26 Power, 120 studs of range, a 1.20s reload, 65 Velocity, 40% Resilience, 70% Accuracy, and a 300,000 max weight. You cannot get both from one run.

Frank’s second quest is the fiddly one. You need to sacrifice limited fish at the Fire of Spirits during a Tropical Sun to spawn Fruity Abaia, then land the catch to unlock the Fruitline. Note the weather difference — Fruity Abaia uses the Tropical Sun, not the Tropical Squall that summons the standard Abaia.

Elder Kaito’s shop, wishes, and side quests

Elder Kaito restocks weekly and is where most consumables come from. His inventory has included the Artisan Rod and Artisan Spear, Golden Fireflies, Cosmic Relics, Exalted Relics, a Rainbow Totem, a Tropical Squall Totem, a Kraken Hunt Totem, and a Scylla Hunt Totem. Buying a Tropical Squall Totem is the reliable way to force the weather you need for taming and for Abaia.

The blue crystal mountain holds the wish NPC, where you can wish for specific rods rather than farming them. Nocturne, Chrysalis, Cindershring, Eardrum, and Polaris Serenade all appear as possible wishes.

Beyond the main line, more than 20 side quests are handed out by locals across the island, some with rewards that appear nowhere else. A new bestiary section tracks the Skycrest species, and part of it is a limited list that disappears with Fischfest.

Limited-time content to finish first

Two things are on a clock and should jump the queue.

Fruit Lover Frank’s quest is a one-week offer. Collect 25 tropical fruits scattered around Skycrest, clear his follow-up fishing task, then run the Fruity Abaia summon for the Fruitline rod. Once the week closes, the chain goes with it.

Ryusei, at the Sanctuary, offers the “Wish of the Sky” quest, which requires completing his daily trial 14 days running. That is a two-week commitment, so start the streak the day you land rather than after you have finished the Abaia hunt.

The practical order for most players is straightforward. Land on Skycrest, take the amulet, start Ryusei’s daily streak and Frank’s fruit hunt, then push Idol Favor hard through idol pond fishing and Hiroto’s challenges until the Sky Crystal thresholds stop blocking you. Everything else on the island — the Taiga, the squall Charms, Abaia, and the rods that follow — falls out of that one number.
