Fisch: How to Get the Webweaver Rod (Full Guide)

The Webweaver Rod is a limited FischFright 3 rod in Fisch. It sits behind a wall of silk inside Webridden Cavern, and you can’t buy it until you finish the “FischFright 2026: Webby Winston” quest. That quest comes from the giant spider NPC of the same name and is tagged to the Caustic Hallow zone. It pays exactly the amount of currency the rod costs, so you never need to farm extra Treats.

Quick answer: Trick-or-treat at all 16 numbered houses, catch 10 Webbed fish in Webridden Cavern, and turn in 15 Cobweb Cod to Webby Winston. Then pay 1,000 Treats at the rod’s altar.

Webby Winston quest requirements

The quest has three objectives. You need all three at full count before Webby Winston will open the rod room. You can complete them in any order, and the Quest Book tracks each one separately.

Houses are identified by the number on the door. You need to visit 111, 234, 280, 313, 333, 375, 417, 439, 444, 477, 510, 513, 560, 606, 613, and 666. One trick-or-treat per house is enough. Each number ticks to 1/1 in the Quest Book as you clear it.

A fish counts toward the second objective only if it has the Webbed mutation and was caught inside Webridden Cavern. Mutated fish from anywhere else don’t count.

How to get the Webweaver Rod

Go down into Webridden Cavern, the glowing green cave beneath the Halloween village, and talk to Webby Winston. This adds the “FischFright 2026: Webby Winston” quest to your Quest Book.

Head back up to the village and knock on each of the 16 numbered houses. Pick the trick-or-treat option at every door until the house objective reads 16/16.

Head back to Webridden Cavern and cast into the green pool. You can catch both Webbed fish and Cobweb Cod there, completing both fishing objectives in one session. Keep fishing until you reach 10 Webbed catches and 15 Cobweb Cod. A Fish Radar can verify that you’re in the Webbed area.

Once all three objectives are full, talk to Webby Winston again. Choose the dialogue option “I’ve completed all of the tasks.” He responds that the silk is dissolving, and the quest pays out 1,000 Treats and 8,000 XP.

Glide across the cavern into the newly opened room. The red, glowing Webweaver Rod rests on a webbed platform there.

Interact with the rod to open the purchase prompt and pay 1,000 Treats. The rod goes straight into your Fishing Rods inventory.

Don’t spend the quest reward on anything else before you reach the altar. The 1,000 Treats from Webby Winston exactly covers the rod’s price.

How to confirm the Webweaver Rod unlocked

The game gives you a clear confirmation at each stage of the process.

The Quest Book shows 16/16, 10/10, and 15/15 before you turn the quest in.
Turning in the quest dissolves the silk barrier and lists “Webweaver Rod room unlocked” among the rewards.
Buying the rod triggers the pop-up “You have unlocked Webweaver Rod!” alongside “You lost -1000 Treats.”
The rod appears in the Fishing Rods menu, with Webworm listed as its Most Favored Bait.

When you equip the rod, three spiders spawn and follow you without taking up your companion slot. They give fish a chance at the Webbed mutation, and the chance rises to a guaranteed Webbed catch while you stand on the web they spin at your feet. The rod is tied to FischFright 3, so complete the quest while the event is running.
