Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: How to Level Up Fast With AFK XP Maps

The reliable ways to farm Battle Pass levels this season, plus what the "no timer" map codes actually do.

The reliable ways to farm Battle Pass levels this season, plus what the “no timer” map codes actually do.

The Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass needs 200 levels to finish, so most players are looking for the fastest steady source of XP rather than a single trick. Creative maps, LEGO and Festival playtime, and challenge XP are the methods that hold up over a full season. The “AFK no timer” map codes floating around fit into that mix, but they behave differently than the videos suggest.

Quick answer: Creative XP is the most efficient method, but it is capped at about 60 levels (4.8 million XP) per week, resetting every Thursday at 9AM Eastern. LEGO and Festival playtime XP currently have no weekly cap, making them the best sources for large amounts of XP over time.

How much XP each method gives this season

Several XP rates dropped at the start of the season, which is why leveling feels slower than Season 3 for many players. The current per-minute values matter because they decide where you should spend your idle time.

SourceXP rateWeekly cap
LEGO Brick Life playtime2,750 XP/minNone
LEGO Odyssey playtime2,700 XP/minNone
Festival Jam Stage2,900 XP/min (plus 350 XP per 30s in a jam circle)None
Uncalibrated Creative map2,700 XP/min~60 levels / 4.8M XP

Note: The weekly Creative cap resets every Thursday at 9AM Eastern, matching the season’s start day. Once you hit the cap, switch to LEGO or Festival, which do not appear to be capped.

Why true AFK maps no longer work

Fortnite added input detection, so standing still in a Creative map eventually kicks you for inactivity. Fully hands-off farming is no longer possible on its own. The workaround players use is a controller with turbo functionality, which sends repeated inputs to keep the game from registering you as idle while you are away.

Some players have reported that recent turbo-input behavior changed, where spamming a trigger still stops the AFK kick but no longer swings the pickaxe or fires a weapon. That would break any method relying on hitting or shooting something, though it does not affect passive playtime XP in LEGO or Festival modes. Restarting the game has been suggested as a fix for the input issue, but results vary.

What the “no timer” XP map codes actually do

The maps promoted as “AFK no timer” are custom Creative islands that hide a bounce room where XP accumulates while your character bounces. Getting into that room requires a specific sequence, and the timer being “skipped” refers to bypassing a countdown barrier inside the map, not removing the game’s own idle detection.

These maps are still uncalibrated Creative content, so they earn the standard 2,700 XP per minute and count against the weekly Creative cap. The steps below match one commonly shared version built on a 1v1 practice island.

Loading the map

In Fortnite, enter the island code 1743-6794-6591 to load the “SUPER 1V1 PRACTICE” map. Set the game privacy to Private before launching so no other players interfere with the setup.

Starting the XP flow

Drop into the main arena and interact with the blue “XP” token to collect an initial burst of XP. This gives a quick starting boost before you set up the room.
Move to the “CHOSE BACKGROUND” wall on the right side of the arena and build ramps up to the top-right corner.

Reaching the bounce room

Locate the hidden “FOUND ME” button on the floor and interact with it. This teleports you into the bounce room.
Once inside, use the “SIGNAL REMOTE C” item to increase the XP rate while your character bounces. XP then accumulates continuously.

You will know it worked when the XP counter climbs on its own inside the bounce chamber. If nothing happens, the most common reasons are being in a public match instead of Private, or the map needing recalibration after a season update.

Why you might be earning less XP than expected

Slow XP in the first days of a season is common. Many maps lose their calibrated status after a season update, and creators often recalibrate them within the first few days. Until that happens, a map that gave 40 levels in a session last season might give far less.

If a specific map feels slow, try a few others rather than sticking with one. Tycoon maps in particular ran slower than usual at the start of this season. You can confirm whether a map is calibrated by searching its name or code on fortnite.gg/creative. There is no time pressure early in the season, so switching maps costs you little.

The most reliable way to finish the pass

For steady progress, combine sources instead of relying on one. Start with Creative XP each week until you hit the cap, since it is the most efficient per minute. Then move to LEGO Brick Life, LEGO Odyssey, or the Festival Jam Stage, which have no weekly cap and can run as long as you keep valid inputs going.

On top of that, weekly, story, and daily challenges add large chunks of XP, and accolade XP in Battle Royale, including Respawn Rumble matches with high kill counts against bots, gives a healthy return per match. With 200 levels to clear and no single shortcut, spreading effort across these sources is what closes the gap fastest.
