Three community-made Sprite designs will be built into the game, and each winner earns a cash prize.

Sprites are the defining mechanic of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners, and Epic Games now wants players to invent their own. The latest Concept Royale event, called Design A Sprite, asks the community to submit original Sprite concepts, with three of them getting built into the game for real. Winning designers also walk away with cash.

Quick answer: Post an original Sprite design to X, Instagram, or TikTok with the #DesignASprite hashtag, or to r/FortniteBR using the “Design A Sprite” flair, before July 1 at 11:59 PM ET. You can enter up to two designs. Three winners each get $2,500 and see their Sprite added to Fortnite.

What the Design a Sprite contest is

Epic is searching for three standout Sprite concepts created by players. The chosen designs won’t just be artwork. They will be turned into actual, usable in-game Sprites that anyone can find and collect during matches. Each of the three winners also receives a $2,500 cash prize on top of having their creation added to the game.

Sprites are small companions found around the Island that grant passive abilities once collected and equipped. Some wrap you in shields, some grant temporary invisibility, and others add burst damage, so a winning concept becomes part of that growing roster.

How to enter Design a Sprite

Entering is free and requires no purchase. Follow these steps to make sure your submission counts.

Create an original Sprite design of your own. It needs to be your own work, not a copy of an existing Sprite or other character.
Post it to X, Instagram, or TikTok using the #DesignASprite hashtag. Alternatively, post it to r/FortniteBR on Reddit using the “Design A Sprite” flair.
Set your account or post to public. If the Fortnite team can’t see your entry, it can’t be reviewed.
Submit up to two original designs total. If you have more than one strong idea, entering both gives you a better shot.

You’ll know your entry is in once your public post is live with the correct hashtag or flair before the deadline. Posts made outside the entry window won’t be considered, so make sure yours goes up in time.

If you’ve been chasing rare Sprites all season and already have ideas in mind, this is the rare moment where one of those ideas can actually end up on the Island. Keep your concept original, make your post public, and get it in before the July 1 cutoff.
