Where the Peeky Peely Sprite drops, how to extract it safely, and the tracking power it grants once it’s in your collection.

The Peeky Peely Sprite arrived with the v41.30 update and is one of the more common companions added to Chapter 7 Season 3. It isn’t a rare pull like Pollo or Zero Point, so most players can secure it in a match or two if they know where to look and how to lock it in.

Quick answer: Find the Peeky Peely Sprite in a Sprite Chest or a regular chest, then carry it to an Extraction Site (or use a Portable Extractor) and finish the extraction before you die. Golden Grove and Calamari Canyon are the best areas to search.

Where to find the Peeky Peely Sprite

Because the drop rate is generous, you have several reliable ways to run into Peely rather than relying on one specific spawn. Golden Grove and Calamari Canyon are the two locations worth prioritizing, since both have solid chest density.

MethodHow it works
Sprite Chests and Sprite LocatorsSprite Chests are the most dependable source. Use a Sprite Locator to uncover buried Sprite Chests nearby.
Regular and rare chestsPeely can also drop from ordinary chests at lower odds, so keep looting as you move through a point of interest.
Fishing SpotsCarry a Fishing Rod. You can occasionally reel a Peeky Peely Sprite out of the water.
Eliminating playersDown an opponent who is already carrying the Sprite and it drops for you to grab.
Trading with friendsIf you’re struggling to find one, a squadmate can share or trade their Sprite.

Sprite Hours (also called Power Hours) temporarily raise drop rates, and Mastery Mondays make rarer Sprites easier to encounter while letting you level them faster. Both are worth timing your sessions around if the Sprite isn’t showing up.

How to extract and keep it permanently

Picking Peely up is only half the job. A Sprite sitting in your inventory belongs to nobody until it’s extracted, so one bad fight can wipe out your progress. Finish the extraction and the Sprite is added to your collection for good.

Grab the Peeky Peely Sprite from a chest, a Fishing Spot, or a downed enemy. It equips in the dedicated Sprite slot that replaces your Back Bling.
Head to an active Extraction Site, or deploy a Portable Extractor if you have one. The Portable Extractor is the safer choice because you control where and when you start.
Begin the extraction and defend the area until it completes. Starting it can reveal your position, so bring healing, ammo, and a weapon you trust before you commit. In squads, have one player carry Peely while the others watch for pushes.

You’ll know it worked when the Sprite registers in your permanent collection after the extraction finishes. From there you can equip it, level it, and re-summon it in future matches using Sprite Dust. Die before extracting and the Sprite is lost, so prioritize banking it over chasing extra eliminations.

What the Peeky Peely Sprite does

Once equipped, the Peeky Peely Sprite marks nearby rare Sprite variants and any enemies carrying them. That makes it a useful tool for hunting down harder-to-find Sprites, since it points you toward valuable targets on the map.

The trade-off is that it also reveals your own location while active. This differs from the Lucky Locator or the Sprite Locator gizmo, which consume an item from your pickaxe slot instead. If an opponent is running the Seven Sprite, its foot-trail reveal stacks with your exposure and makes you even easier to track.

How rare is it, and how to improve your odds

Peely is on the common end of the Sprite ladder. Its decent drop rate means plenty of players have already added it, and you shouldn’t need to grind for long to get your own.

If it’s still eluding you, equip any Holofoil Sprite to boost your chances, since Holofoil variants grant a squad-wide bonus to finding rare variants. Failing that, more Sprite events are scheduled on the calendar, so there will be additional windows with raised drop rates to pick it up.
