Purple Pit FFA is a Fortnite island that hides a scripted XP route behind a locked secret room. Once the room is open, a set of hidden buttons around the mansion area raises your XP gain, and a bounce room at the end keeps it flowing while you stand still. The whole sequence runs on island code 1710-3076-7161, and it only works in a private match.
Quick answer: Launch 1710-3076-7161 as a Private match, run to the Crosshairs section, emote beside the blue changing booth to reach the secret room, emote again to freeze the countdown, enter 4-7-7 on the wall, confirm, then crouch and press START AFK XP.
Map code and private lobby setup
1710-3076-7161. Select PURPLE PIT FFA when it appears. You can enter creator code LOOTYT on the Support A Creator screen if you want the island’s creator credited.Secret Pit entry, timer bypass and the 4-7-7 code

4-7-7, then press the confirm button on the right-hand side. The room labels the controls CONFIRM/RESET/UNLOCK ALL XP BUTTONS, and a SECRET UNLOCKED message is your confirmation that the code registered.
Note: if the code does not take, the usual cause is pressing confirm before the digits are fully set, or trying to interact while the barrier is still up because the second emote did not freeze the timer.
All six hidden XP buttons in the mansion area
You land in the mansion area with a grappler and shockwaves available on the ground. Pick both up first, because the buttons are spread across separate buildings and the grappler cuts the route down considerably. Each button adds to your XP multiplier, so collect all six before you settle into the bounce room.

| Button | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| 1 | Inside the main building, on a picture frame sitting on the bookshelf |
| 2 | In the garage on the right, marked ADMIN |
| 3 | In the building behind the spawn point, on a table (labelled XP 1) |
| 4 | Same building, tucked under the stairs |
| 5 | Behind the yellow building on the left, marked ADMIN |
| 6 | Over to the right, on the number “6” of the giant wheel |
The wheel button is the one people miss most often. You interact with the painted “6” itself rather than a console, so line the crosshair up on the number before pressing the interact key.

The AFK bounce room and the Signal Remote
With all six buttons pressed, teleport into the green bounce room. The launch pads keep your character moving on a loop, and the island pays XP continuously while you are inside. Use the SIGNAL REMOTE item once you are in there to push passive generation to its maximum rate.
You can tell it is working from the XP pop-ups and level-up notifications appearing without you touching the controls. If the numbers stop climbing, return to the Secret Pit, press the reset control, and run 4-7-7 plus START AFK XP again.
Why “AFK” still needs input in Chapter 7 Season 4
Fortnite detects controller and keyboard input during creative sessions, so leaving the game completely untouched eventually stops XP from accruing. Rooms like this one remove the timer barrier, but they do not remove input detection. Players who farm overnight do it with a controller that has turbo functionality, which supplies a repeating input while they are away.
Without that, treat the bounce room as semi-AFK. Tap a movement key every so often and the XP keeps counting.
Creative XP caps and rates that limit this method
Creative XP is capped weekly. The limit tested out at 60 levels, or 4.8 million XP, and the counter resets every Thursday at 9AM Eastern. Once you hit the ceiling, this island stops paying no matter how many buttons you have unlocked, and you have to switch to other sources until the reset.
Per-minute rates were also trimmed at the start of the season, which is worth knowing before you plan a long session.
| Source | Current rate | Previous rate |
|---|---|---|
| Uncalibrated creative map | 2,700 XP/min | 3,150 XP/min |
| LEGO Brick Life playtime | 2,750 XP/min | 2,950 XP/min |
| LEGO Odyssey playtime | 2,700 XP/min | 2,900 XP/min |
| Festival Jam Stage | 2,900 XP/min, plus 350 XP per 30 seconds in a jam circle | 3,050 XP/min |
LEGO and Festival playtime XP do not appear to share the creative weekly cap, which makes them the fallback once your creative allowance is spent.
If the XP is not registering
- The match was not set to Private, so the arena behaves as a normal free-for-all.
- The countdown is still running because the second emote did not land inside the secret room.
- START AFK XP was never pressed, so only the individual button rewards apply.
- Your weekly creative XP allowance is already used up.
- The island itself is uncalibrated. The XP badge on the island’s Info page has not been reliably visible, so calibration currently has to be checked by looking up the island name or code on a creative stats tracker.
Slow payouts early in a season are also common while creators recalibrate their islands, and some players have reported creative XP failing to register entirely without an official statement from Epic. If this island underperforms, other tycoon and parkour XP maps are usually the quicker fix.
Keep in mind that everything behind the keypad is scripted by the island’s creator. Codes, button placements and the bounce room can all change when the island is updated, so if 4-7-7 stops opening the room, the route has been reworked rather than broken on your end.
