The Luna VIII livestream wrapped up with an extended look at Snezhnaya, and the teaser packed in far more than scenery. The Cryo region’s debut trailer puts the Traveler behind a firearm, introduces a new Cryo elemental reaction, brings back several Fatui Harbingers, and finally lets fans hear the Tsaritsa speak.
Quick answer: The trailer confirms Lara Korba as the English voice of the Tsaritsa (Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya) and shows the Traveler using a gun with a throwable explosive, but it does not show the Tsaritsa’s face.
Traveler gunplay and the new gun mechanic
The most immediate gameplay change is the Traveler wielding a firearm while wearing a Fatui-style uniform. Earlier teasers hinted at this, but the new footage shows the weapon in action. The Traveler can shoot enemies directly to deal damage, and the gun pairs with a throwable explosive device that creates area-of-effect damage where it lands.

Snezhnaya itself is split into two contrasting environments. One is a stretch of snowy mountains, and the other is a green, forested area, suggesting the region has more variety than its icy name implies.

The teaser also gives a short look at the Cryo Traveler. This form lets the Traveler generate cryo shards around them, which feed into a new Stellar Conduct reaction. It follows the pattern set in the Nod-Krai era, where a string of characters supported a regional reaction ahead of the Archon’s release.
New enemies in the Cryo region
As expected for a new area, the trailer shows off several unfamiliar enemy types. These new forms appear throughout the footage alongside the snowy and forested zones.

Tsaritsa’s voice and Lara Korba
The Tsaritsa’s face is still hidden. What the trailer does deliver is her voice. At the end of the teaser, an unidentified figure speaks the following line:
A tomb and birch trees, the Tsar’s final tokens of affection. That which I set in motion, I shall see to an end.
That voice belongs to the Tsaritsa, the Cryo Archon of Snezhnaya, introduced through earlier drip marketing as Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya. The trailer’s description names Lara Korba as her English voice actor.
The Tsaritsa is the de facto leader of the Fatui and the figure gathering Gnosis from the other Archons. Tartaglia has described her as a gentle soul who hardened herself, while Dainsleif paints a colder picture of a god who has lost love for her people. Her line about burning away the old world echoes the inscription found on the Shivada Jade Gemstone.
Returning Harbingers in the trailer
No brand-new playable Snezhnaya characters appear in the teaser, but several familiar faces do. The trailer features Sandrone, Pantalone, Pulcinella, and Tartaglia, all tied to the Fatui and the Cryo region.
Paimon falls ill in Snezhnaya
One detail stands out for story reasons. Paimon is absent for most of the trailer, which is unusual since she normally travels alongside the Traveler. The teaser opens with Paimon falling ill in Snezhnaya, hinting that she may not accompany the Traveler through the Cryo region for a while.

With the livestream over and the teaser out, Snezhnaya is clearly close. The gunplay, the Cryo Traveler’s Stellar Conduct reaction, and Lara Korba’s reveal as the Tsaritsa’s English voice give a concrete sense of what the Cryo chapter will introduce, even with the Archon’s appearance still under wraps.
