The 404 Chick is one of the strongest fighters in Grow a Chicken Fighter, with high Power and Attack that make it a reliable pick for the pit and Arena mode. Its default skill holds it back, though, so pairing it with the Cycle of Ash ability from the Radiant Fenghuang turns it into a top-tier build. Cycle of Ash both damages a rival and heals the user, which keeps the 404 Chick alive far longer in a fight.
Quick answer: Hatch a 404 Chick from Cursed Eggs and a Radiant Fenghuang from Royal Eggs, then fuse the two and lock the Cycle of Ash skill (and the highest Level) before confirming. The fused chicken keeps Cycle of Ash.

What you need for the 404 x Ash build
Two chickens are required, and both sit at very low hatch rates. You farm them on separate egg routes before combining them.
| Chicken | Source egg | Hatch chance |
|---|---|---|
| 404 Chick | Cursed Egg | Under 1% (Secret rarity) |
| Radiant Fenghuang | Royal Egg | Around 1% |
Note: Both chickens can also come from the Blazing Egg, which appears during the Hot Event. Blazing Eggs are hard to farm, so the Cursed Egg and Royal Egg routes are usually the more dependable path.

Add to Google Preferences →Farm Cursed Eggs to hatch the 404 Chick
The goal here is a steady supply of Cursed Eggs so you can keep rolling for the 404 Chick. Build a chicken that lays Cursed Eggs at a guaranteed rate, then hatch in bulk.

Farm Royal Eggs to hatch the Radiant Fenghuang
Cycle of Ash is exclusive to the Radiant Fenghuang, so you need one copy of that chicken carrying the skill. The Royal Egg route mirrors the Cursed Egg approach: get a guaranteed egg-layer, then roll.

Fuse the 404 Chick with the Radiant Fenghuang
With both chickens in your flock, the fusion is short, but the locking step is what makes or breaks the result.

You get two free Fuse Locks, which is enough for the skill and the level. Extra locks cost Robux, but you do not need them for this build. If you skip the lock, the fusion can randomly overwrite Cycle of Ash, so always confirm the yellow lock icon is on the skill before you commit.
What Cycle of Ash does
Cycle of Ash activates automatically during a fight. It lands a strong strike that damages the opposing chicken and applies knockback, while healing back a portion of your own health. That self-sustain is why it fits the 404 Chick so well, letting an already high-Power fighter stay in the pit or Arena and keep trading blows. The tradeoff is the grind, since the Radiant Fenghuang only comes from Royal Eggs at a low drop rate, which makes this build a long-term goal rather than an early-game one.
