Grow a Garden 2 Seed Packs: Every Source and Free Method

Where Seed Packs come from in Grow a Garden 2, which ones are free, and how to open them.

Seed Packs are the fastest way to add rare and event-only crops to your plot in Grow a Garden 2 without grinding Sheckles for a single seed at the Seed Shop. Each pack holds its own pool of seeds, and opening one rolls a random crop from that pool. Some packs cost Robux, but most can be earned for free through quests, events, weather, and voting.

Quick answer: Earn free Seed Packs by completing Daily and Weekly Quests at the Quest Board (right of the Seed Shop), collecting Gold and Rainbow Seeds during weather events, and triggering Lucky Swipes on the official voting site. The Ghost Pepper Pack is the only pack you buy with Robux.

All Seed Packs in Grow a Garden 2 and their contents

Every pack pulls from a fixed set of seeds, and you only see the result after opening it. The Ghost Pepper Pack is the headline premium option, while rarity-tier packs and weather seeds show up through normal play.

Free Seed Packs from Daily and Weekly Quests

The most reliable free source sits at the Quest Board, located to the right of the Seed Shop guy in the central lobby. Daily Quests reward the Gardener Seed Pack, and the Weekly Quest rewards the Dawn Seed Pack, which is the stronger of the two.

Click the seed button at the top of the screen to teleport to the lobby where the NPCs stand. Walk right, past the Seed Shop, until you reach the Quest Board, then press E to open it.
Finish all three Daily Quests. These are simple tasks such as earning Sheckles, planting, or harvesting crops. Once they are done, talk to the NPC and click claim to receive 1 to 3 Gardener Seed Packs.
From the same board, complete the Weekly Quest to earn the Dawn Seed Pack, and sometimes an extra Gardener Pack on top.

Rewards do not drop into your inventory automatically. You must speak to the NPC and press claim, or the pack is lost when the quest resets.

Weather event seeds: Gold Moon and Rainbow Moon

Weather shifts constantly, and during the Gold Moon and Rainbow Moon events the server can spawn special seeds across the map. When you see a notification that a seed has spawned, run to it and press E to grab it. Several drop at once, so you can collect more than one.

Gold Seeds and Rainbow Seeds behave differently from standard packs. You plant them directly into your garden without opening anything first, and they grow into a random Seed Shop crop that sells for far more than the usual version. Other players can knock you down to steal these, so claim them quickly.

Voting, Lucky Swipes, Guild Quests, and codes

A few extra free routes feed Seed Packs into your mailbox or inventory. These stack with quests, so it is worth running all of them.

  • Vote on the official GAG site: Link your Roblox account, then vote on upcoming features, pets, and weather. Each vote can trigger a Lucky Swipe, which may award Uncommon or Rare Seed Packs, Pet Eggs, and other items sent straight to your in-game mailbox.
  • Complete Guild Quests: Check your guild objectives daily, since Seed Packs sometimes appear among the rewards.
  • Join limited-time events: Event shops and event activities regularly hand out packs, and new packs often debut here first.
  • Redeem codes: Enter codes through the Settings menu. TEAMGREENBEAN currently rewards 3 Green Bean Seeds.

To start voting, link your account on the official GAG voting site and submit your picks.

The Angry Plant event for premium packs

Find an angry plant on the map, talk to it, and hand over the fruit it asks for. It eats the fruit and spits out one Seed Pack in return. Repeat this 50 times to unlock a free premium Seed Pack from a chest, giving free players a path to higher-tier rewards without spending Robux.

Buying the Ghost Pepper Pack with Robux

If you want exclusive seeds immediately, the Ghost Pepper Pack is sold for Robux from the store. Tap the red cart icon in the top bar, then open the Seed section to buy. Bundle pricing scales with the roll count.

BundleCost
1 Roll99 Robux
3 Rolls249 Robux
10 Rolls799 Robux
50 Rolls4,499 Robux

Because the same seeds rotate through quests, events, and the Angry Plant chest, spending Robux is optional. Free players can build a full collection through questing alone.

How to open Seed Packs

Opening a pack takes only a few seconds, and the game rolls one random seed from that pack’s pool.

Launch Grow a Garden 2 and enter your plot, then open your inventory or backpack.
Grow a Garden 2 seed pack in hand
Find the Seed Pack you want to open, select it, and press the Use or Open button.
Grow a Garden 2 seed pack open
Wait for the reward animation to finish. The random seed is added to your inventory automatically, ready to plant or save for later.
GAG 2 seed pack open

You know it worked when the new seed appears in your backpack after the animation. Code Seeds, Gold Seeds, and Rainbow Seeds skip this step entirely and go straight into the ground. Between Daily Quests for Gardener Packs, the Weekly Quest for the Dawn Pack, weather drops, and Lucky Swipes, you can keep a steady stream of seeds flowing without ever touching the Robux store.
