Halloween: The Game — Chapter 1 Challenge 1 Guide (Rabbit in Red)

Every target you need to kill in and around the Rabbit in Red, plus the one biker you can safely ignore.

The first challenge in Chapter 1 of Halloween: The Game asks you to kill everyone inside the Rabbit in Red. It sounds like a simple sweep, and it mostly is, but two of the required targets are civilians tucked away in back rooms rather than bikers in the main bar. Miss either one and the challenge stays unfinished while the story keeps moving forward.

Quick answer: Kill the two bikers outside, then clear every biker inside the lounge, plus the woman working in the kitchen and the woman in the restroom. The biker who runs away does not count, and the challenge pops the moment the last civilian goes down.

Every target required for Chapter 1, Challenge 1

The challenge counts bikers and residents together, which is why players who only follow the “KILL THE BIKERS” objective end the chapter without it. Here is the full kill list in the order you naturally reach it.

Clear the parking lot before entering

Grab the broken bottle on the ground near the red car as soon as the chapter starts. One of the bikers throws a glass bottle at Michael, and the shards become a sharp melee weapon you can pick up with a single interaction. It kills far faster than bare hands, which matters against the biker swinging a baseball bat.
Kill both bikers standing by the entrance. Watch the bat swings and close the distance between them rather than trading hits. Once both are down, the objective changes to “ENTER THE RABBIT IN RED”, which confirms the outside portion is clean.

Tip: If you also want the context execution challenge, grab the second biker instead of hitting him, drag him against a wall, and perform the head slam there. That challenge is easiest in this exact spot, before the door opens.

Kill everyone in the main bar

Open the front door and close it behind you. The person behind the bar bolts for a back room the moment you step in, and shutting the door keeps the fight contained while the remaining bikers commit to attacking you.
Take down the two bikers in the main room. The broken bottle carries over from outside and handles both without much trouble. Sharp melee weapons are also scattered around the bar, including broken pool cues near the entrance and on the stage.

The bar interior is full of usable weapons and execution spots while the “kill the rest of the bikers” objective is active.
Deal with the biker carrying a gun immediately. He appears in the main lounge area after the first pair goes down, and standing at range gives him free shots. Rush him, grab or strike him at close range, and finish him before backing off.

The two civilians most players walk past

The bikers are only part of the count. Two residents stay inside the building and never leave it, so you can take your time hunting them once the fighting stops. Both hide behind doors that are easy to ignore because the story objective no longer points at them.

Head to the kitchen at the back of the bar and kill the female worker there. This is also where the cleaver sits, so grab it if you want the thrown-cleaver challenge on the same run.
Enter the women’s restroom and kill the woman inside. She is the final piece of the count, and the challenge completes the instant she dies. Open every door in the back area if you cannot find her right away, since these back rooms hide both civilians and a collectible.

How to confirm the challenge completed

A “CHALLENGE 1 COMPLETE” card appears on screen with an “E Close” prompt as soon as the last required target dies. If you cleared the bar and the card never showed, someone is still alive inside the building.

Why the challenge fails, and the biker you can skip

There are only two realistic reasons this one does not trigger. The first is leaving a civilian alive in the kitchen or restroom. The second is walking out of the building too early, because the challenge is tied to the bar and locks once you exit, forcing a mission replay to try again.

The biker who flees is the exception. Once the interior clears and the objective flips to “CHASE THE FINAL BIKER”, that target belongs to the story, not to the challenge. You do not need to catch him for the completion card to appear.

The “CHASE THE FINAL BIKER” objective takes over after the bar is cleared; that biker is not part of the kill count.

After the interior cutscene plays, stay inside long enough to sweep the remaining rooms rather than following the objective straight out the door. That single habit is the difference between finishing the challenge on your first run and reloading the chapter to redo the whole bar.
