Halloween: The Game – The Best Civilians, Ranked

A tier ranking of the eight starting civilians, with the stats and traits that decide who outlasts Michael Myers.

A tier ranking of the eight starting civilians, with the stats and traits that decide who outlasts Michael Myers.

Every civilian in Halloween: The Game reads the same map, loots the same drawers, and runs from the same silent killer, but their stats and traits pull them apart fast once a match gets tense. Four numbers shape each one, and a handful of traits decide whether you are surviving, supporting a team, or actively wearing Michael down. The eight civilians unlocked from the start sort cleanly into three tiers of usefulness.

Quick answer: Laurie Strode is the strongest all-around civilian. Her high stat spread plus Spatial Awareness and Knockout make her useful in almost any match without a special plan.

Civilian tier ranking

S-tier civilians carry value in nearly any match. A-tier picks are strong but lean on a specific job or have a soft spot. B-tier picks still work, but their best moments depend on the right situation.

CivilianTierMain role
Laurie StrodeSSafe all-rounder with escape info and safer takedowns
Alexis PrucessSFollower-focused team support
Marcus NavarroSRepairs, locked doors, last-survivor power spike
Rachel CalahanAAnti-Michael damage and Shape Jump denial
Tanya HarrisonAFollower support with map information
Jennifer AaronsBMobile, stealth-focused escaper
Eric DunnBEquipment and information utility
Richard HawthorneBHigh-ceiling but condition-heavy kit

Each civilian is measured across Capability, Athleticism, Personality, and Resourcefulness. Capability covers direct effectiveness, Athleticism drives movement and escape, Personality powers follower and social traits, and Resourcefulness feeds repair and equipment work.

S-tier civilians

CivilianStats (Cap / Ath / Per / Res)
Laurie Strode8 / 6 / 9 / 7
Alexis Prucess2 / 8 / 10 / 5
Marcus Navarro7 / 5 / 4 / 10

Laurie Strode

Laurie is the safest pick on the roster because she does not need a specific plan to matter. Her strong Capability and Personality give her a solid floor, and Spatial Awareness feeds her reliable escape information while she stays calm. Knockout is the standout trait, keeping Michael down longer when you help incapacitate him. That extra window turns one of the most dangerous moments in a match into a manageable one.

Alexis Prucess

Two Capability looks alarming, but Alexis is built for teams that lean on followers. Her Personality is maxed at ten, and Popular makes followers take 90 percent less damage, gain less Fear, and fight harder while protecting her. Savior Stimulant rewards her for helping residents escape, and Smooth Talker makes dispatch calls more forgiving. She is weak on her own, yet a working Alexis makes an entire follower group far tougher to break.

Marcus Navarro

Marcus turns ten Resourcefulness into real utility. Repair Expert stretches your repair packs, and Trespasser opens locked doors without the usual fuss. Lone Wolf then rewards him heavily when he is the last civilian standing. You never want to reach that point, but if Michael thins the herd, Marcus is the one best equipped to keep pushing objectives alone.

A-tier civilians

CivilianStats (Cap / Ath / Per / Res)
Rachel Calahan7 / 5 / 2 / 8
Tanya Harrison4 / 6 / 10 / 5

Rachel Calahan

Rachel exists to punish Michael directly. Full Moon is her best trait, raising the damage dealt to his Bloodthirst by 40 percent when civilians damage or down him. Aura of Awareness widens her personal Shape Jump prevention radius, and Sixth Sense warns her about his breathing during Shape Jump. Her two Personality keeps her out of S-tier, but as a counter-Michael specialist she is excellent.

Tanya Harrison

Tanya is the other maxed-Personality support option, tuned for follower-heavy teams. Guardian Shadow gives followers ten percent damage reduction, Hi-Fi surfaces information about Michael when a nearby noise maker is active, and Survival Skills shows the status of nearby phones. She covers similar ground to Alexis with a stronger information lean.

B-tier civilians

CivilianStats (Cap / Ath / Per / Res)
Jennifer Aarons5 / 9 / 6 / 7
Eric Dunn6 / 3 / 6 / 8
Richard Hawthorne6 / 7 / 9 / 5

Jennifer Aarons

Jennifer is the hide-and-move pick. Nine Athleticism keeps her mobile, Ghost speeds up how fast Stalk degrades, and Dreamer makes residents she interacts with harder to stalk. Survival Rage boosts her melee damage while she is terrified, so she can fight when cornered. Her kit still points toward avoiding Michael rather than confronting him, and her team utility is thin.

Eric Dunn

Eric is a strong equipment user held back by three Athleticism. Hunters Sense locates faint noises and highlights nearby escapes, Fast Fingers speeds up ranged weapon and flashlight reloads, and Brimstone Fuse extends how long his firecrackers disorient enemies. There is a lot to like for methodical players, but his low mobility becomes a liability whenever Michael closes the gap.

Richard Hawthorne

Richard has one of the higher ceilings on the roster and one of the most conditional kits. Nine Personality and seven Athleticism give him a good base, Hyper Focused delivers large information value while high, and Chaotic cuts the Stalk progress applied to him by 5 percent. The catch is Affluent Partner, whose 40 percent melee damage boost needs him intoxicated and high at the same time. That is a powerful payoff tied to a very specific setup.

Which civilian to pick

If you want one dependable choice, Laurie Strode fits nearly any lineup and rewards no special knowledge. Coordinated teams built around followers gain the most from Alexis Prucess or Tanya Harrison, while Marcus Navarro shines on objective-heavy runs and clutch solo finishes. Rachel Calahan is the answer when your group plans to gang up on Michael, and Jennifer Aarons suits players who would rather never be found. Eric Dunn and Richard Hawthorne stay situational, either slowed by low mobility or bound to a narrow condition.

Note: This covers the eight civilians available from the start. Four more join the roster later, and their placement will shift the picture once they are in play.
