Haze Seas: How to Get the Dual Dark Blade

Every material, boss drop, and mastery requirement you need to craft the Dual Dark Blade at Doran the Forge.

Every material, boss drop, and mastery requirement you need to craft the Dual Dark Blade at Doran the Forge.

The Dual Dark Blade sits at the very top of the sword grind in Haze Seas. It demands stacked rare materials, a maxed Dark Blade V2 mastery, and a large pile of Beli, so most of the effort happens long before you ever touch the crafting menu. The weapon is assembled at Doran the Forge in the Third Sea once every prerequisite is in your inventory.

Quick answer: Craft the Dual Dark Blade at Doran the Forge on the Third Sea Starter Island using 20 Ancient Blade Relics, 300 Mastery on Dark Blade V2, 5 Abyssal Eyes, and 20 million Beli.

Dual Dark Blade crafting requirements

Gather all four items before you visit Doran the Forge. Two of them, the Ancient Blade Relics and the Abyssal Eyes, have their own long farming chains, which is what makes this weapon so time-consuming.

RequirementHow it is obtained
x20 Ancient Blade RelicCraft at Doran the Forge or buy from the Wandering Merchant
300 Mastery on Dark Blade V2Level the Dark Blade V2 sword to max mastery
x5 Abyssal Eye100% drop from the Cthulhu Super Boss
20 million BeliIn-game currency

Note: some crafting listings also reference a Bounty threshold near 25 million alongside a lower Abyssal Eye count. Treat the values above as the working target and confirm the exact figures at Doran the Forge before spending materials.

Farm 20 Ancient Blade Relics

You have two routes to the Ancient Blade Relic, and most players mix both to hit 20 faster.

Route 1: Craft them at Doran the Forge on the Third Sea Starter Island. Each Ancient Blade Relic costs five Blade Fragments. Blade Fragments drop from Super Bosses in the Third Sea at a 10% chance, so building all 20 Relics this way means a very heavy boss grind.

Route 2: Buy them from the Wandering Merchant, who spawns somewhere around Sea 3 every 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes and stays for roughly 7 minutes. The merchant sells the pieces you need at fixed prices.

ItemPrice
Ancient Blade Relic1 million Beli
Blade Fragment300,000 Beli

The merchant disappears once you buy both items from it, so plan your purchases before you interact.

Unlock Dark Blade V2 and reach 300 Mastery

You cannot start the mastery grind until you own Dark Blade V2, and that chain begins with the original Dark Blade V1, which is bought from the Robux Shop. With V1 in hand, follow the upgrade quest.

Travel to Foggy Castle and find the Nikk0Lapz NPC hidden in a cave below the main bridge. Give the NPC a Legendary or Mythical Fruit to begin the quest.
Defeat the Enma boss to clear the combat requirement for the upgrade.
Pay 50 Gems to spawn the Dark Blade Boss in the castle, then defeat it to receive Dark Blade V2.

After that, equip Dark Blade V2 and grind it to 300 Mastery. The weapon only counts toward the Dual Dark Blade once it hits that mastery cap.

Collect 5 Abyssal Eyes from the Cthulhu Super Boss

The Abyssal Eye drops from the Cthulhu Super Boss at a 100% rate, so you need exactly five clean kills. There is no luck involved, only the challenge of the fight and the setup to spawn it.

Spawn the Cthulhu Super Boss

Wait for Storm weather to appear in the Third Sea. Cthulhu can only be summoned during a Storm.
Go to the Starter Island in the Third Sea and head to the right side of the docks, then look for the large whirlpool out in the open sea.
Stand on the whirlpool to interact with it and choose the option to sacrifice a Prismatic Shard. The Cthulhu Super Boss then spawns.

Beat both Cthulhu forms

Cthulhu has two forms and a massive 10,000 HP pool. Once you drop its first form, it enters a rage form that you must defeat as well before the kill registers. Endgame players can attempt it with flying Fruits such as Electricity, Phoenix, or Dragon, but bringing a team is strongly recommended because of the health and the second phase.

Craft the Prismatic Shards you sacrifice

Every Cthulhu spawn burns one Prismatic Shard, so five kills means five Shards. Prismatic Shards are crafted at Doran the Forge by combining five separate Mythical materials, each tied to its own boss or event.

Craft the Dual Dark Blade at Doran the Forge

With 20 Ancient Blade Relics, a maxed 300 Mastery Dark Blade V2, 5 Abyssal Eyes, and 20 million Beli ready, return to Doran the Forge on the Third Sea Starter Island and select the Dual Dark Blade option to finish the craft.

You will know it worked when the Dual Dark Blade appears in your inventory as an equippable sword after the craft completes. If the option is locked or greyed out, the usual cause is one missing requirement, most often the Dark Blade V2 mastery sitting below 300 or being short on Ancient Blade Relics. Double-check each count before spending your Beli.

Once unlocked, the sword opens up its own moveset as you level it, so the mastery grind continues after the craft.
