Orbs are the passive buff items in Heavyweight Fishing, and each one only fires when it is paired with its matching skill family. Six of them exist in the game, and no single activity hands them all over. Some are bought, some drop from secret fish, one comes from an NPC questline, and one only falls from a boss in Nightmare Mode.

Taoist Orb: Taoist Merchant spawn timer and 100M price
The Taoist Merchant is a roaming vendor, not a permanent shop. He appears every 30 minutes and can turn up on any island except Beginning Isle, then leaves 10 minutes later. That short window is the real difficulty here, not the cash.
Note: The Taoist Orb is the broadest of the set. It carries damage, cash, cooldown reduction, and drop chance at once, but only while you are using Apex Eagle Hunt skills.
Secret fish orbs: Qian Gate, Sage Yijiu, and Cloud Ascension
Three orbs are tied directly to secret fish, so the only way to farm them is to keep fishing in the right waters. The Qian Gate Orb is the cleanest of the three because the Rainbow Dragonfish gives it at a 100% rate, meaning one successful catch is one orb. Landing the fish is the hard part, not the roll.
The Sage Yijiu Orb comes off the Frost Queen Fish, and the Cloud Ascension Orb comes off the Frost Kingfish. Both are secret catches rather than boss drops, so you are grinding casts rather than fights. Check the Orbs tab in your inventory after each secret catch to confirm the item landed.
Bac Minh Orb: Coconut Isle quest requirements
This one is a straight questline with no drop chance attached, which makes it the most predictable orb in the game. Bac Minh stands near a traditional house on a rocky rise on Coconut Isle.
Execution Orb: Enzo in Nightmare Mode at Fallout Isle
The Execution Orb is the hardest gate in the set. Enzo is found on Fallout Isle, and the orb only drops from him in Nightmare Mode, not from a normal fight. You need to be level 1000 to take him on at all.
The drop rate sits at 30%, so expect several clears before it lands. The orb feeds Five Execution skills specifically, boosting their damage and cutting their cooldown, so it does nothing for any other skill tree you might be running.
Banner summons as a backup route
Some orbs can also be pulled from the game’s banner system, which sits under the summon button on the left side of the screen. It works like a standard gacha, so rarer items carry lower rates and orbs sit at the thin end of that pool.
Crystals are the currency for summons. You build them up through quests, daily login rewards, and redeeming free codes, which are entered through the Codes icon on the left of the screen inside Heavyweight Fishing. Most codes carry a minimum level requirement, so low-level accounts will not be able to bank crystals this way immediately.
Orb stats and which skills they work with
Every orb is locked to one skill family. Equipping the wrong orb for your build produces no benefit at all, so match it to the skills you actually use.

Equipping an orb and confirming the drop registered
Open the power section of your screen and click the button under number 2. That opens your inventory, where the Orbs tab on the left holds everything you own. An orb you have earned appears in that tab, and that is your confirmation the reward went through.
If an orb does not show up after the final interaction, the usual cause is a delayed NPC or interaction prompt rather than a lost reward. Rejoining the server refreshes stalled dialogue and updated content, and NPCs that would not respond often work on the second attempt. Some orb interactions also stay inactive until an earlier quest stage is finished, so check your active quest list before assuming the reward is broken.
Because each orb is tied to a single skill family, there is no point chasing all seven at once. Work out which skill tree you are building around, secure that orb first, then treat the rest as long-term targets while you level toward the Fallout Isle requirement.
