Heavyweight Fishing just picked up a new island, four skills, two rod skins, and a character unlock, on top of a pass over older skin models. Most of the new gear is gated behind a specific source rather than a general grind, so knowing which banner, drop, or currency each one sits behind saves a lot of wasted casting.
Quick answer: World Angler Isle is the new travel destination. Two of the four skills come from the Heavenbreaker banner, one drops from the Dark Kingfish, and one comes from the Biao Di quest. Both rod skins are bought with PVP Stars, and Hua Heshang unlocks once you own Dragon Subjugation.
World Angler Isle: The new location
World Angler Isle is reached through the travel menu like any other island, and it is built as a walkable area rather than a single dock. Expect winding paths between fishing spots, so plan on covering ground on foot between casts.

Part of the island runs through a lava cavern, which changes the look of the route without changing how fishing itself works. The main menu and the fishing controls stay accessible the whole way through.

One thing to check before you settle in: Auto Fishing stays locked until level 100. If the option is greyed out on the island, that is the level requirement talking, not a bug.

Add to Google Preferences →The four new skills and where each one comes from
Each new skill has exactly one source. Two sit on the Heavenbreaker banner, so those are down to pulls. The other two are earned through play, which makes them the more reliable targets if you are short on tickets.
| Skill | Source |
|---|---|
| Vajra Fish Subjugation | Heavenbreaker banner |
| Celestial Ape’s Heavenbreaker | Heavenbreaker banner |
| Dragon Subjugation | Drop from the Dark Kingfish |
| Beastbreaker Cleave V3 | Biao Di quest |
Dragon Subjugation is worth prioritising over the rest, because it doubles as a key for a character unlock further down.
Rod skins: Immortal Rod ss1 and Master Rod ss1
Both of the new rod skins are tied to PVP Stars, so they are earned in player-versus-player rather than pulled or fished up. Master Rod ss1 is the cheaper of the two at 50 Stars, and Immortal Rod ss1 costs 100.
| Rod skin | Cost |
|---|---|
| Master Rod ss1 | 50 Stars from PVP |
| Immortal Rod ss1 | 100 Stars from PVP |
Note: these are cosmetic skins, so treat the Star spend as an appearance choice rather than a power upgrade.
How to unlock Hua Heshang
Hua Heshang is the new character added alongside the island, and there is no separate banner or purchase for them. The requirement is ownership of Dragon Subjugation, which means landing the skill as a drop from the Dark Kingfish first.
Once the skill is in your possession, the character becomes available to you. If Hua Heshang still shows as locked, the skill either has not dropped yet or is not actually owned on your account.
Model reworks and quality-of-life changes
Beyond the new content, the bulk of the work went into reworking older skin models and smoothing out existing systems. Nothing here changes how you catch fish, but cosmetics you already own may look different from how you remember them.
The shop is unchanged in structure, with the Orb and Kun bundles still sitting in the same menu alongside the rest of the purchasable upgrades.

If you are chasing everything in one run, the order that wastes the least time is Dark Kingfish first for Dragon Subjugation, since it carries Hua Heshang with it, then the Biao Di quest for Beastbreaker Cleave V3. The two banner skills and the PVP rod skins can wait, because neither depends on anything else unlocking first.
