Add Google Chrome to Desktop

Adding Google Chrome shortcut to the desktop is a simple process. Right-click on the desktop and select ‘New’. Then, click on ‘Shortcut’ from the options.

It will open a window to create the shortcut. Click on the ‘Browse’ button and select chrome.exe from the chrome installation folder in the ‘Program Files’ folder of your Windows installation drive.

If you are using 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11, paste the below address in the text box beside the ‘Browse’ button.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"

After selecting chrome.exe, click on the ‘Next’ button.

On the next screen, type ‘Chrome’ or leave it as it is and click on the ‘Finish’ button to add the Google Chrome shortcut to your desktop.


Pin Google Chrome to Taskbar

Open Google Chrome on your PC. You will see its icon on the taskbar when it is open. Right-click on it to see a few options. Click on ‘Pin to taskbar’.
