Apple has brought many improvements to FaceTime in iOS 12. There’s Animoji, Memoji, Text effects, and a hell lot of other filters for FaceTime in iOS 12. But Apple hid away a critical feature from the main FaceTime screen to the three-dot menu — Flip camera.

If you’ve noticed, the Flip camera button in FaceTime no longer exists on the main screen. Instead, the new button for stuff like Animoji, Text Effects, Shapes now take up the space meant for the Flip camera.

To use the back camera in FaceTime on iOS 12, you’ve to tap the three-dot menu, then touch the Flip camera button to activate the rear camera for your FaceTime call.

Using the reverse camera in FaceTime is a useful feature, and Apple’s decision to hide it away in the options isn’t welcoming. We would personally prefer the Flip camera button over the new gimmicky features in FaceTime.
