What you need before the run
The route is long, and most of the time cost is travel across Jailbreak’s open map. Sort these out first so you are not walking:
- A live session of Jailbreak while The Hunt: Roblox 20 is running. The event closes September 28, 2026.
- Any vehicle you can drive confidently. A car works fine; a helicopter cuts the travel time considerably.
- A rough sense of the map’s coastline and the mountain ridges behind the city, since there is no quest marker pointing at either stop.
- Roughly 10 minutes of uninterrupted time, because the trigger has to be followed by the climb.
Spawn your vehicle from the Garage menu before you set off rather than hunting for one on the street. You can pull a car out near the police station, and later swap to a bike or helicopter if the terrain gets awkward.

How to confirm it worked, and what to do if nothing happens
You will know immediately. Reaching the spot on the mountain pops the badge notification on screen. No notification means the sequence did not complete, and the fix is always the same one.
Go back to the beach, sit in the chair beside the rainbow umbrella again so the trigger re-registers, then repeat the drive up the mountain. A partial sit, or hopping out of the chair the instant you touched it, is the usual reason the mountain does nothing. There is no penalty for retrying the loop as many times as you need.
The secret badge is separate from A Bandit’s Bandana
Jailbreak carries two different objectives during the anniversary event, and they are easy to confuse. The beach-and-mountain route is the secret one. The main quest, which represents Jailbreak’s 2017 slot in the event’s year-by-year track, is a rescue mission with its own reward.

Starting the rescue quest
The main quest begins in the prison yard. Walk up to the event NPC standing near the Roblox 20 display and use the sign-up prompt to open the cutscene, which explains that 1x1x1x1 has pulled five players out of the past and scattered them across the map.
Once the cutscene ends, a tracker appears in the corner reading Rescued (0/5), listing KreekCraft, DenisDaily, MapleStick, Jane Doe and Guest 417.
The five rescue locations
Each target stands at a fixed spot and glows gold when you get close. Guest 417 waits in the prison yard by the perimeter wall, MapleStick is on the train station platform, KreekCraft stands outside the Donut Shop window, Jane Doe is at the museum on the hill, and DenisDaily is up on the roof of the Jewelry Store. Every one of them uses a hold-E rescue prompt.
The Jewelry Store rooftop is the one that trips people up. You can climb the exterior ladder on foot, or take a helicopter from the police station helipad and land directly on the roof.
After the fifth rescue, a banner confirms the quest is complete and prompts you to head back to the hub. Claiming that reward happens in the The Hunt: Roblox 20 event world, not inside Jailbreak.
If you are doing both in one session, run the rescues first while you already have a helicopter out, then peel off to the beach for the chair and finish on the mountain. Both count toward your event total, and the window closes at the end of the month.
