How to Unlock Lightsabers in Fortnite Star Wars Droid Tycoon (Green, Blue, Purple)

In Star Wars Droid Tycoon, sabers aren’t found as ground pickups or handed out by missions. Each blade is a guaranteed reward for building enough droids in its matching Kyber color. The weapons are displayed in separate glass cases along the underground bunker wall, and each case has its own counter. Load the map from creator FOAD with island code 7865-8305-9184.

Quick answer: Build 20 distinct droids using Green, Blue, or Purple Kyber, then activate the matching color’s case in the bunker. Duplicates are excluded from the count.

Kyber color requirements for each lightsaber

The three Kyber colors each have a saber, and earning one requires 20 distinct droid models in that color. Making the same model twenty times won’t increase the count.

Gather Kyber crystals first

Every Kyber droid requires a Kyber crystal, making crystals the resource to watch. You can get them in two ways:

World missions grant crystals when you complete them.
Building Kyber droids puts crystals back into your supply.

Astromech missions to planets like Geonosis, Naboo, Mustafar, Coruscant, and Ilum are the steady source, so keep sending droids out while you build.

Turn crystals into droids with Huyang

Professor Huyang converts your crystals into Kyber droids, but the color is out of your hands. Handing crystals over rolls a random Green, Blue, or Purple variant, and you cannot pick which shade you get.

The roll follows fixed odds, so a single color takes patience. Purple is the rarest of the three, which means it usually takes the most turn-ins to reach 20.

Green — 50%
Blue — 30%
Purple — 20%

Because you cannot choose, focusing on one color means bringing crystals to Huyang repeatedly until you stack enough droids in that shade.

Build 20 unique droids of one color

Continue building droid models you haven’t made yet in your chosen color. The total increases only with distinct models, so switch to a new design instead of making another copy of one you own.

Check your totals at the Droidex terminal by opening its Kyber tab. Green, Blue, and Purple each have a separate count, letting you see how far each is from 20.

Claim the lightsaber in the bunker

Cross the main road and take the stairs down into the bunker. The saber cases line its left wall; a colored light beneath each one identifies it, and a counter shows your progress, for example, 16/20.

Approach the bunker case for the color you’ve completed. When its total reaches 20, use the case to add the lightsaber directly to your loadout.

During an event rollout the room can stay gated. Before it opened, some players reached it early by buying the Amban Sniper Rifle from the Combat Points weapon wall and using its melee lunge to clip through the wall beside the bunker gate. Once the room is open, the stairs are all you need.

Confirm the lightsaber unlocked

At 20, the case replaces its progress count with an unlocked notice, and claiming the saber equips it immediately. The green model in your hands is the Jedi Padawan Lightsaber (Green), a Mythic weapon you can swing and use to block.

Using the lightsaber in Droid Tycoon

Melee works as it does in standard Battle Royale: press the attack trigger to string together combo strikes, or hold the block trigger to guard against and deflect incoming blaster fire. You can use the saber to eliminate enemy droids and Stormtroopers while on world missions.

Hitting a crafting station with a lightsaber won’t speed up a build. Pickaxe strikes can shorten construction time, but the blade doesn’t change the timer, so save it for combat instead of farming.
