Every squad in WARDOGS eventually runs into the same problem: a pickup with a gun on it, and nobody carrying anything that can answer it. The RPG-7 is the first handheld anti-vehicle weapon in the game, and it does not sit in a class menu waiting for you. It sits on the Support track, five levels up, behind a one-time fee.
Quick answer: Reach Support level 5 and pay the one-time $30,000 unlock. The fastest route there is building — buy a $7,500 Forward Operating Base, haul build supplies, and swing a hammer.
RPG-7 unlock requirements and cost
The RPG-7 unlocks at Support level 5 and costs $30,000 as a one-time unlock fee. That fee is separate from the price you pay at the vendor each time you kit out, which is how almost every gated item in the game works.
Support is one of six role tracks — Assault, Medic, Support, Recon, Driver and Pilot — that feed into your overall Wardog level. Support tops out at role level 50, with unlocks attached to 31 of those levels. Your Wardog level is the one that gates armour tiers, so Support XP keeps paying out long after the weapon list runs dry.

The in-game description points the RPG-7 at infantry, and that is where it is most forgiving. A rocket into a bunched-up squad or a held doorway is the easiest value you will get out of it. It also handles light armour and APCs perfectly well, which is the whole reason a squad rushes Support 5 in the first place — every vehicle it kills pays Support XP straight back into the track.
Helicopters are the weak case. The rocket is slow enough that leading a moving aircraft is a coin flip, and the dedicated anti-air answer arrives later on the same track with the 9K333 Verba at Support 16. If your problem is rotors rather than wheels, wait for that.
Fire and move. Launcher backblast and a slow rocket both advertise your position, and rotating your angle after one or two actions is the habit that keeps you alive long enough to reload.

Watch your carry weight. Penalties kick in past 10 kg and again at 17 kg, tactical sprint disappears at 27 kg, and you lose sprint entirely beyond 40 kg. A launcher plus rockets eats into that budget fast.
Fastest route to Support 5: build, don’t shoot
Support XP comes from shotgun, machine gun and launcher kills, but those are the slow lane — WARDOGS’ engagement ranges make shotgun work a niche. Hammer swings are the fast lane. Every swing at a Forward Operating Base pays XP and cash, with a bigger payout when the structure finishes. A single match of building has taken players to within nine points of Support 7 without firing a shot, and close to $100,000 in earnings on top.

The mechanic multiplies gains: a structure that they build from your placement rewards you as they swing, and reciprocal blueprint placement lets both players level faster than either can alone.
Other things that pay Support XP
- The following Support weapons grant kill credit: the ungated MP43 shotgun, priced at $400, plus the M500, M249, PKM, and all launchers.
- Use a drill to fix vehicles; the Light Drill becomes available at Support 1.
- Support rewards also come from using anything that awards Support to destroy enemy vehicles, buildables, and spawn vehicles.
- Every hammer swing at a FOB, plus a lump sum when the structure completes.
FOB hunting deserves a mention because it opens at Support 2, before you have any launcher at all. C4 Charges need only the level, no unlock fee, and cost $250 each. Two IEDs on an enemy spawn vehicle paid out $15,000, and a single charge that destroyed a FOB returned $2,500 and 500 Support XP. The Remote Detonator that pairs with it is a separate $15,000 unlock at the same level.

| 30 | $150,000 | |
| 35 | $200,000 |
The Medium Hammer at level 3 costs $800 at the vendor and covers Hesco walls, gates and doors. The Large Hammer at level 8 runs $2,400 and is the only tool that can put up emplacements — mortars, anti-air and the drone launcher — all of which pay large XP chunks per action. If you overshoot Support 5 while building, that is where the next milestone sits.
What comes after the RPG-7
The PGO-7 optic arrives at Support 12 and is the single biggest upgrade to the launcher itself. The MAAWS at 20 is the second launcher on the track for $125,000. Anti-tank mines at 25 cost $75,000 to unlock and $650 each, and they are the sleeper pick: they stay where you placed them after you die, so a mined choke point keeps paying XP and cash on its own.
The MGL-40 at Support 35 is the last weapon on the track, and it is the heaviest thing the role hands you.
| MGL-40 | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | $6,000 |
| Damage per shot | 100.0 |
| Damage through body armour | 15.0 |
| Rounds per minute | 75 |
| Muzzle velocity | 100 m/s |
| Explosive radius | 10.0 m |
| Max zeroing range | 400 m |
| Weight | 5.3 kg |
Its six-round tube launches 40mm grenades, and armor classifies each impact as explosive instead of bullet damage. Weapon rewards end past level 35. You can still receive muzzle brakes and grips through Support 45; beyond that point, Support XP advances your Wardog level.
Confirming the RPG-7 unlock worked
Check the Wardog Progression menu first — the Support track should read level 5 or higher. Once the $30,000 fee is paid, the RPG-7 stops showing a locked state at the vendor and becomes a normal purchase you make each life, exactly like the Medium Hammer or the C4 before it.

The unlock fee is paid once and never again, so the only ongoing cost is the launcher’s vendor price per life. Given that a destroyed vehicle pays Support XP and cash back, one good rocket usually covers the trip.
