Alexis Purcell is one of the two paid civilians in Halloween: The Game, and she plays nothing like the survivors built to loot or fight. Her Capability sits at 2, which makes trading blows with Michael Myers a bad idea, but everything else in her kit points at one job: gathering Haddonfield residents and walking them out alive.
Quick answer: Play Alexis as an escort. Recruit residents on sight, park them in a dumpster or car near an escape point, then finish the gate fuse or storm cellar yourself and send them through one at a time. Her Popular trait keeps followers alive while you do it.

Her stat spread is deliberately lopsided. Personality is maxed, Athleticism is high enough to outpace most chases, and the other two numbers are low enough that you should avoid fights and rely on teammates for heavy repair work.

Three traits carry the character. Popular cuts damage taken by your followers by 90 percent, slows the Fear they build, and makes them more aggressive when they are protecting you. Panic Contagion gives you a speed boost while you are actively helping residents escape. Smooth Talker widens the perfect zone on skill checks, which makes dispatch calls and similar prompts much harder to fail.

How to play Alexis: the rescue loop
Escape routes Alexis can open
Alexis does not unlock unique exits. She just gets more bodies to them. Knowing which route is closest to finishing decides where you park your followers.

The gate is the most involved of the four because it has two separate blockers. Strip the padlock first, since Bolt Cutters are common pickups, then hunt the fuse in lockboxes and chests. Once the fuse is in, the gate mechanism still needs to be operated before anyone walks through.
Phone calls are worth the detour even when the gate is nearly done. A repaired phone line or CB radio brings police onto the map, which both adds the wagon as a fallback exit and puts armed officers in play who will shoot at Michael.
Surviving grabs with 2 Capability
Pocket knives are the single most important item for Alexis. They break you out of Michael’s grab automatically, which matters far more here than on a high-Capability civilian who can struggle free. Carry several if the map allows it, because each one is consumed on use.
Firecrackers and a flare gun serve the same purpose from range. A flare gun shot blinds Michael long enough to break line of sight and push followers through an exit. Firearms such as the 30-06 Rifle or the .357 Magnum can down him, but that is a job better suited to teammates or the police than to Alexis herself.
Note: dying is not always the end of your contribution. If your civilian is killed, you can return as a police officer, which lets you run back with a rifle and cover the survivors still waiting at the gate.
How to confirm an escape worked
Each resident who clears an exit registers individually, so you can bank several successful rescues even in a match where you die. The on-screen confirmation reads “YOU ESCAPED” when your own character makes it out through a gate, cellar, car or wagon.
The most common reasons a gate escape fails to trigger are simple. The padlock is still attached, the fuse box has no fuse in it, or the resident you sent is still stuck in a hiding spot you never called them out of.
Where Alexis ranks against the base roster
Community rankings disagree on the exact order, largely because they weigh solo survival against team support differently. What is consistent is the shape of each character’s job.

Tanya covers the closest ground to Alexis and gives followers a far smaller damage reduction, which is the clearest argument for the Deluxe pick if you enjoy that playstyle. The tradeoff is real, though. In a match where you get separated and end up alone, 2 Capability leaves Alexis with very little answer to a cornered fight, and characters like Marcus or Rachel handle that situation better.
Judged on her own terms, Alexis is the strongest escort civilian in the game right now. She rewards a specific discipline: talk to everyone, hide them early, and treat every objective as something you complete on their behalf rather than your own.
