The Bleach update in Legacy Piece added Quincy Castle, a Zangetsu NPC, and one of the longest locked chains of quests in the game. At the end of it sits Ichigo True Bankai and its Blood Chain transformation, and there is no shortcut around the requirements. Every objective is checked while Ichigo is equipped, so the order you tackle them in matters less than making sure the game is actually counting your progress.
Quick answer: Talk to Zangetsu on Quincy Castle, complete the six quests he hands out in sequence to unlock Ichigo True Bankai, then accept the Blood Chain quest and clear its eight objectives with Ichigo True Bankai equipped.
Before you start: stat build and where to find Zangetsu
Set up a weapon-focused stat build first. Large parts of the questline lock you into swinging Zangetsu, and kills made with anything else simply do not register. If your points are sitting in another stat, respec before you accept the first quest rather than halfway through a 2,500-kill objective.
The chain begins at the new Quincy Castle island. Zangetsu stands there as a quest giver and hands out every stage of the questline, including the final Blood Chain step, so you will return to him repeatedly.
Quest 1: The Old Man (Inner World boss fight)
Quest 2: Four Echoes — all five White Mask Fragment locations
Five White Mask Fragments are hidden across the map, one per island. Walk up to a mask and hold E to recover it. The masks never despawn, nobody can steal one from you, each counts a single time, and progress carries over between visits, so you can collect them across multiple servers and sessions.

Each pickup prints a confirmation naming the mask you just recovered, counting up to Hollow Mask 5. If no message appears, you are standing next to a mask you already claimed.
Quests 3 to 5: The three Echo grinds
These are the longest stretch of the questline. All three have strict conditions on what counts, and none of them can be rushed with a different weapon or race.
Shinigami Echo: 2,500 Hollow kills as a Hollow
Change your race to Hollow, then kill 2,500 Hollows while wielding Ichigo. Only kills made as a Hollow with Ichigo equipped count, and leaving the race stops the counter immediately. If you swap out mid-grind, your existing progress stays but nothing new is added until you switch back.
Fullbring Echo: 100 Resonance from Lv 20,000+ bosses
Resonance is earned only while wielding Ichigo, and only when you deal at least 10 percent of a Lv 20,000+ boss’s health before it dies. Damage below that threshold gives you nothing, so on crowded servers it is worth picking bosses you can reliably burst.

Extreme bosses such as Solemn Lament are the fastest route, cutting the requirement to 25 qualifying kills instead of 100.
Quincy Echo: Five Sternritter statues on Quincy Castle
Each remaining echo sleeps inside a Sternritter statue on Quincy Castle. While this quest is active, Ichigo’s inherited Quincy blood lets you wake the statues without switching to the Quincy race. Waking each one still costs 20 Reishi Fragment and 50 Quincy Soldier kills in your current server, and the summon must be defeated with Ichigo — a kill landed with any other weapon is ignored.

Note: the 50 Quincy Soldier kills reset per server, so finish all five statues in one sitting if you can rather than hopping between servers.
Quest 6: Materials to unlock Ichigo True Bankai
The final unlock is a straight delivery to Zangetsu. All three fragment types drop from the Ichigo True Bankai boss, which means the boss you are farming is the same fight you will later have to beat repeatedly for the Blood Chain quest.

Hand everything in and Ichigo True Bankai unlocks with a four-move base kit: Dual Cut, Cross Cut, Getsuga Jup Shoot, and Getsuga Tenshou.
Quest 7: Blood Chain requirements
Return to Zangetsu once True Ichigo is in hand and accept the Blood Chain quest. It tracks eight entries, and every combat objective requires Ichigo True Bankai to be equipped at the moment the kill or cast lands. Holding the weapon counts as one of the eight, so the tracker opens at 1/8.

The 300 skill uses are the easiest requirement to chip away at passively, since they tick up during the boss farming you need for everything else. Yhwach is a global boss, so plan those three kills around server spawns.
Unlocking Horn of Salvation, Gran Rey Cero, and the transformation
With the quest handed in, the extra abilities are not simply handed to you. Using the base moveset in combat unlocks Horn of Salvation and Gran Rey Cero, so keep swinging Ichigo until both appear in your bar.
Building the gauge through combat then triggers the Blood Chain transformation, which plays a cutscene and swaps your kit. The transformed set includes Kuroi Getsuga, Shungo Triple Strike, Shungo Blade Flurry, Zangetsu’s Reprisal, and Gran Rey Cero, with the enhanced Getsuga Tenshou serving as the ultimate.
How to tell it worked, and why progress stops counting
Each stage confirms itself in the quest tracker. Fragment pickups print a recovery message, the Echo quests show a live counter, and the Blood Chain quest steps up from 1/8 as each line completes. The transformation itself is unmistakable, since it plays a cutscene and replaces your move list with the Blood Chain kit.
If a counter refuses to move, it is almost always one of these:
- You are not wielding Ichigo. Every kill objective in the chain requires it equipped.
- You left the Hollow race during the Shinigami Echo, which halts the 2,500 kill count.
- You dealt under 10 percent of a boss’s health during the Fullbring Echo, so no Resonance is awarded.
- The boss was below Lv 20,000 for Resonance, or below Lv 25,000 for the Blood Chain objective.
- You changed servers mid-statue, resetting the 50 Quincy Soldier kill requirement.
The whole chain is front-loaded with grinding and back-loaded with boss fights, so the fastest path is to settle your stat build, clear the mask fragments early since they never expire, and save the Lv 25,000+ and Yhwach kills for when your damage is high enough to hit the 10 percent threshold comfortably.
