Lineage Piece: How to Get Naruto Six Paths in Update 13

Every requirement, dungeon run, and mastery quest needed to take the Naruto spec to its full Six Paths form.

Every requirement, dungeon run, and mastery quest needed to take the Naruto spec to its full Six Paths form.

Update 13 added the Naruto spec to Lineage Piece, and it is one of the longest unlock chains in the game. You need a locked race, a crafted dungeon key, a boss clear, a very expensive shop purchase, and then five mastery quests on top of that before the full Six Paths moveset appears.

Quick answer: Get the Jinchuriki race from Killer Bee, craft a Six Paths Key, clear the Valley of the End, buy the Naruto spec, then finish all five mastery quests to upgrade it to Six Paths.

Naruto spec requirements in Lineage Piece

The Naruto NPC stands on a wooden bridge in Deeproot Jungle and will not sell the spec until every line below is green. Farm the materials while you work through the race and key steps, because the currency cost alone is steep.

RequirementAmount
Sun Seal1
Sage Scroll6
Tailed Beast Fragment14
Shinobi Badge30
Jinchuriki raceEquipped
Coins40,000,000
Gems30,000

The Jinchuriki race is a hard gate, not a recommendation. No other race lets the Naruto seller complete the purchase.

Unlock the Jinchuriki race from Killer Bee

Killer Bee is the Jinchuriki NPC in Deeproot Jungle, and he hands out four quests before he will sell the race. They run in order, so you cannot skip ahead to the cheaper ones.

  • Deal 3M damage with Combat
  • Carry a boulder to the checkpoint 5 times
  • Kill 50 NPCs with the Chakra Flow Mutation
  • Meditate for 600 seconds on the red mat in Deeproot Jungle

The meditation step is a flat ten-minute timer and it does not need any inputs once it starts, so it is the easiest one to run while you do something else.

Sitting on the red mat in Deeproot Jungle starts the 600-second meditation count.
Finish all four Killer Bee quests. Chakra Flow Mutation kills only count while that mutation is active, so equip it before you start clearing mobs.
Enter the Waterfall of The Truth dungeon and beat the clone boss listed as Yourself. It has 5,000,000 HP and a five-minute timer, and it drops the Darkness Fragments you need.
Return to Killer Bee with 2 Darkness Fragments and 40 million coins, then press the buy prompt to claim the race. Jinchuriki gives +26% melee damage, +5% crit rate, +10% crit damage, and +5% Naruto damage.

Craft the Six Paths Key with the Realm Signal questline

The Valley of the End dungeon is locked behind a Six Paths Key, which is crafted from Chakra Essence and a Realm Signal. Realm Signals drop from Mage NPCs, and Lineage Town is a reliable spot to farm them.

Before you can craft anything, the Realm Signal NPC on Elysian Island runs you through a four-part questline. The first three parts are pure boss farming on Hard or Extreme difficulty.

QuestTargetDifficulty
Shinjuku Showdown20 bossesHard / Extreme
Hueco Mundo20 bossesHard / Extreme
Legend Arena20 bossesHard / Extreme
Flame Chaser hunt11 NPCsOpen world

Any boss on the right difficulty counts toward the tally, so pick the fastest kill you can handle. Sukuna Shinjuku on Hard, Vizard Ichigo in Hueco Mundo, and Kokushibo in Legend Arena all work, and the progress counter ticks up as each run ends.

Where the 11 Flame Chaser NPCs hide

The final quest scatters Flame Chaser NPCs across the map, and they do not show on the quest marker. They appear on Elysian Island, Jujutsu Highschool, Deeproot Jungle, Dawnwind Village, Shinjuku Showdown, Monument Island, Hueco Mundo, Frostborn Island, and Scorched Ruins. Shinjuku Showdown holds two of them, so do not leave after finding the first.

Once all 11 are down, go back to the Realm Signal Shop NPC on Elysian Island, hand in the questline, and craft the Six Paths Key.

Clear the Valley of the End dungeon

Use the Six Paths Key to open the Valley of the End. Easy difficulty is enough to get the drops you need for the spec purchase.
Protect the Chakra Pillar through five waves of White Zetsu. The pillar has its own health bar in the centre of the arena, and the enemies walk straight for it, so stay near it instead of chasing kills.
Kill Naruto when he spawns at 4,400,000 HP. Naruto, SixPath Sage follows him with 9,000,000 HP, and that second fight is the real damage check of the run.

Buy the base Naruto spec

With the Jinchuriki race equipped and the materials in your inventory, talk to the Naruto NPC in Deeproot Jungle and buy the spec. This purchase only gives you the base version, and the moveset you see now is not the finished one.

Finish the five mastery quests for Six Paths

The Naruto (Mastery) NPC in Deeproot Jungle holds the upgrade. All five quests must be completed before the Six Paths version of the spec unlocks.

Mastery questTarget
Deal damage with Naruto75M
Kill White Zetsu350
Kill NPCs with Chakra Flow Mutation200
Kill bosses with Chakra Flow Mutation100
Collect Tailed Orbs9

The White Zetsu requirement pairs naturally with repeat Valley of the End runs, since the pillar defence phase spawns them in bulk. Keep the Chakra Flow Mutation equipped during that farming so two counters move at once.

All 9 Tailed Orb bosses

Each Tailed Orb comes from a different boss, and this is the longest of the five quests because it sends you back across most of the game’s endgame content.

  • Cid / Shadow
  • Shadow Monarch
  • Miyabi
  • Yi Sang
  • Frieren
  • Aizen
  • Raiden
  • Firefly
  • Naruto

Six Paths moveset and how to confirm the upgrade

You will know the upgrade landed by the character model. Equipping the mastered spec and Naruto’s Outfit puts your avatar in a yellow and black Six Paths Sage Mode cloak with black Truth-Seeking Balls floating behind the back, and the five ability slots swap to the moves below.

KeyMove
ZRasengan barrage
XChakra blast
CGolden energy slash combo
VMulti-clone Rasengan strike
RKurama avatar Tailed Beast Bomb cutscene

The finished spec scales at Strength x2.8, Defense x1.75, Weapon x1.25, and Power x1, and it comes with the Divine-tier bonus of +10% hitbox size, +20% total damage, and +4.5% crit chance. The Saviour of The World title adds another +15% Naruto damage on top, which is worth equipping as soon as the mastery chain is done.

Test the R move on a training dummy before you take the spec into a Hard or Extreme run. It plays a cutscene animation, which is a long commitment mid-fight, and knowing its timing is the difference between a clean finisher and a wasted cooldown.
