Mistfall Hunter: How to Get More Character Slots (Gyldenblod Pool)

Raise your roster from three to as many as ten by leveling the Gyldenblod Pool at your camp.

Raise your roster from three to as many as ten by leveling the Gyldenblod Pool at your camp.

Mistfall Hunter gives you three character slots when you first start, which is not enough to hold a separate build for each of the six classes. The cap is not fixed, though. Upgrading the Gyldenblod Pool at your camp raises your character limit one slot at a time, all the way up to ten.

Quick answer: Unlock your camp, then upgrade the Gyldenblod Pool building. The character limit rises by one at level 3 and keeps climbing with each level after that, reaching a maximum of ten slots at level 9.

Unlock the camp before you can add slots

You cannot expand your roster straight away. The Gyldenblod Pool is a camp building, and the camp itself has to be opened up first.

Level your first character to roughly level 5 through normal play and quests.
Complete the Camp Revitalization task given by Dew, the same NPC in town who hands out blessings when you level up. Finishing it opens the camp and its buildings.
Head into the camp hub and locate the Gyldenblod Pool among the available structures. This is the building tied to both your Gyldjar capacity and your character limit.

How each Gyldenblod Pool level changes your character limit

Most early Gyldenblod Pool upgrades simply raise how much currency your Gyldjar can hold. The extra character slots start arriving at level 3 and stack with every level beyond it. Each additional slot on top of your starting three is listed below.

Level 9 is the ceiling, leaving you with ten total slots. Reaching it takes considerable time. From level 3 onward the recipes start demanding Epic construction materials, and the highest levels also call for Legendary ones.

How to confirm a new slot unlocked

After the Gyldenblod Pool finishes its upgrade to a level that grants a slot, the open character-creation space appears on the login and character-select screen. You can then create a new Gyldhunter there and pick any class. Switching between your existing characters is done from that same screen.

If no new slot appears, the most common reason is that the pool has not yet reached level 3. Levels 1 and 2 only expand your Gyldjar and alt-leveling perks, so they add no roster space.

Switching class without spending a slot

You do not always need a fresh slot to try a different class. Talk to Dew in town to change your current character’s class, the same place you collect blessings. The trade-off is that you restart that class’s level progression, unless you pay currency to a vendor to boost the new class up.

A dedicated slot is worth it when you want a permanent second character so you are not re-leveling every time you swap. All your characters share the same warehouse storage, so gear and materials farmed on one can sit in the stash for another.

Note: Friend invites currently bind to a character’s name rather than your account, so re-add teammates when you play a different character until account-wide friend lists arrive.

How many characters you actually need

More slots help, but spreading resources across a large roster slows your overall progress. Talent points can be reset freely, so a single character can carry several builds without a second slot. Two well-supported characters is a practical target for most players. Once you know which class you main, keep your upgrade materials focused rather than splitting them across many alts.

The Gyldenblod Pool also competes with other camp buildings for the same construction materials. If you would rather keep hunting and improving your gear than juggle alts, other structures such as the Warehouse and Workshop may deserve priority over pushing the pool to its highest levels right away.
