A shrunken, broken avatar build in Roblox is enough to break an entire round of Murder Mystery 2. Players using a glitched “mini” character setup spawn beneath the map floor instead of on top of it, where nobody can see or touch them. From down there they hoover up coins, throw knives as the Murderer, and shoot as the Sheriff, all without ever exposing themselves to a counterattack.
Quick answer: If a player is banking coins and landing kills while their character never appears on the map floor, they are clipped underneath it using a mini avatar setup. There is no in-game counter to it — leave the server or report the account through Roblox, because the round cannot be won fairly against them.
What the mini avatar clip does in an MM2 round
The exploit starts outside the game. A specific glitched avatar configuration in the Roblox character menu produces a body so small that MM2’s collision handling stops treating it as standing on the map. When the player joins a server and the map loads, their character ends up below the floor geometry rather than on it.

Being under the floor is not just a hiding spot. Coin pickups scattered around the map remain collectible from below, so the exploiter farms currency through the entire round while everyone above is still working out who the Murderer is. Nobody can see them, nobody can chase them, and nothing on the surface can reach them.

Add to Google Preferences →How the glitch changes each MM2 role
The advantage scales with whatever role the game hands out. It is strongest on the two armed roles, because attacks still register upward through the floor even though the attacker is untouchable.
| Role | What the under-map position enables |
|---|---|
| Innocent | Farms coins for the whole round with zero risk of being stabbed, and survives to the end by default. |
| Murderer | Lines up throwing kills on players standing above, who have no way to see where the knife came from. |
| Sheriff | Shoots the Murderer from below, ending the round without ever entering a fair line of sight. |

Because MM2 rounds are built on visual information — watching who runs, who hides, who is holding a knife — an attacker with no visible model removes the only thing the other players have to work with. The Sheriff cannot shoot back at a target that is not rendered on the playable surface, and Innocents cannot run from something they cannot locate.
The one limit: leaving the under-map area is one-way
The glitch has a single built-in constraint. Jumping pushes the character back up onto the normal map surface, and once that happens the player cannot clip back underneath for the rest of that round. The exploiter has to choose between staying below with the coin route or returning to the surface for normal movement.

Note: coins picked up from below still count normally, so a full round of undisturbed farming carries straight through to the end-of-match total. That is what makes the exploit attractive beyond simply winning the round.

How to tell someone in your server is using it
The tell is absence rather than anything flashy. A named player is listed in the round and clearly active, yet their character model never turns up anywhere on the map. Kills land with no visible attacker nearby, and knives or shots seem to come from the floor itself.
- A living player who is never spotted in any room, corridor, or hiding place for the entire round.
- Deaths with no attacker in view, especially in open areas where a Murderer would be obvious.
- The Sheriff being eliminated, or the Murderer being shot, with no line of sight between them.
- Coins vanishing across the map without a visible player collecting them.
This overlaps with other MM2 exploits that produce similar symptoms, including fling abuse and script executors that add silent aim, ESP, or auto-farm. Those come from external tools rather than an avatar setup, but from a victim’s seat the outcome looks the same — an opponent who cannot be reached or predicted.
Reporting the exploit and the account risk
There is no legitimate in-game answer to a player under the floor, so the practical response is to report the account and move to a different server. Roblox handles this through its standard support and report flow, where you can submit the username and describe the behavior.
For anyone tempted to try it, the risk sits on the exploiter. Using unintended behavior against other players in public matches can draw reports and moderation action, and the third-party executors that produce comparable effects carry a real chance of warnings or a permanent ban. Winning one MM2 round is a poor trade for an account.
MM2 glitches tend to have short lifespans — developer Nikilis has patched out map exploits before, including tricks that granted effective immortality on certain maps, and a method that works today can quietly stop working after any update. No fix for the mini avatar clip has been confirmed, and until one lands the only reliable defense is spotting it early and leaving the server.
