At DBN Headquarters in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ, Lieutenant Roze holds the uppermost position. This Hajin point of interest ranks among the most hazardous, with EXTREME displayed on the compass. Roze is a sniper who fights from the roof, so reaching Roze means climbing the tower under fire.
Quick answer: Climb the emergency stairwell of DBN Headquarters to the roof, use the HVAC units as cover, and kill Roze at the roof edge to get SIDE OP COMPLETE / KILL ROZE and +500 XP.
Where Roze is on DBN Headquarters
The tower’s roof consists of white terraces arranged in steps, along with large air-conditioning units, metal staircases connecting the tiers, and a radio mast. Roze fires down at you from the terraces and the exterior stairs near the summit.
- Point of interest: DBN Headquarters, threat EXTREME
- Roze’s position: the tower’s uppermost rooftop, among its stepped terraces
- Cover on the roof: HVAC units, stair rails and overhangs
- Extra threat: the DEATHSTALKER Commander helicopter, which patrols the same roof
As you advance, the side op objective updates: it first reads “Reach the Lieutenant’s Location”; after you emerge onto the roof, it switches to “Kill Roze”.

How to beat Roze on the rooftop terraces
Roze can down you with a single shot, so standing in the open on the terraces is a mistake. Peek out from behind an HVAC unit or a stair rail, fire, and pull back into cover before Roze lines up a shot.
Guards move up and down the metal stairs between the terraces during the fight. A scoped assault rifle handles them well, letting you pick them off as they come down the steps.

Stay close to your squad. A teammate who goes down on the open roof needs cover before anyone can revive them. The inner stairwell just below the roof works as a safe place to fall back and regroup.
Move around the terrace levels to come up on Roze’s side. Then use a scoped assault rifle to keep landing shots on Roze near the roof’s edge. Roze goes down on the grated walkway that runs along the edge.
The DEATHSTALKER Commander shares this roof. Watch the sky during the fight, and get under an overhang or behind an HVAC unit when the helicopter strafes.

What Roze drops
Roze drops a dog tag, a sniper rifle beside the body, and a modest stash of valuables and equipment.
| Item | Rarity | Type | Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roze’s Dog Tag | LEGENDARY | Lieutenant dog tag | — |
| ASTAROTH .57 | RARE | SNIPER RIFLE | $6,400 |
| INFANTRY INVASION PLANS | UNCOMMON | VALUABLE | $1000 |
| DRILL CHARGE | UNCOMMON | LETHAL | $100 |
| Ballistic Flight Logs x1 | — | — | — |
| AR/LMG ammo x9 | — | Ammo | — |
| Armor Plate x1 | — | Gear | — |
Take Roze’s Dog Tag out with you; Lieutenant tags are paid out in the extraction results. You can also extract the INFANTRY INVASION PLANS and sell them for cash at the FOB. A DRILL CHARGE is a lethal device: its thermal lance bores into a surface before triggering an explosion.
Which rifle appears by Roze’s body may vary from one match to another. It can be the ASTAROTH .57 or THE KRAKEN, the other sniper rifle Roze carries.
Roze also appears in the Operation Grid Assault story mission at DBN Headquarters. There, Roze fights on the broken upper levels of the building, and killing Roze gives you the second code segment.
