NTE: How to Complete the Fawn Alone Anomaly Commission in Duskmoor

Set the clock to midnight, grab a fast vehicle, and chase the fleeing Sunya to Adler in Blue Jay Mountain.

Set the clock to midnight, grab a fast vehicle, and chase the fleeing Sunya to Adler in Blue Jay Mountain.

The Fawn Alone Anomaly is one of six Duskmoor commissions added in the NTE 1.3 update, and it plays out as a long night drive rather than a boss fight. A deer-like Oddity called a Sunya bolts across the region, and your job is to keep pace until it stops at a hidden camp deep in Blue Jay Mountain.

Quick answer: Go to the intersection northeast of the Duskmoor Wertheimer Tower, set the in-game time to between 23:00 and 00:00 so the Fawn spawns, then summon a fast vehicle and follow it until it stops near Adler.

Where the Fawn Alone Anomaly spawns in Duskmoor

Fast travel to the Duskmoor Wertheimer Tower, then head northeast toward the Blue Jay Mountain intersection. The Anomaly appears at the fork in the road there. It only shows up at night, so you will not see anything during the day no matter how long you wait.

Because the chase covers a huge stretch of the map, running from around Starfall Bay all the way to the depths of Blue Jay Mountain, bring a vehicle before you start. A faster ride makes it much easier to stay on the Fawn’s trail.

How to trigger and follow the Fawn Alone Anomaly

Open your phone menu and choose the Time System option. Set the time to 23:00 or 00:00 to force nighttime, then wait a moment for the Anomaly to appear at the intersection.
Summon your vehicle and get on. Once the Fawn spawns, it starts moving immediately, so be ready to give chase the second it appears.

Drive after the Fawn as it winds across the Duskmoor map. Stay close and keep it in sight. The route is long, which is why a quick vehicle matters here.
If you lose the Fawn during the ride, look for the glimmering trace it leaves behind and follow that. You can also return to the starting intersection northeast of the Wertheimer Tower to pick up the trail again.

Keep going until the Fawn stops at the camp in Blue Jay Mountain, where Adler is standing by a tent. Interact with him to trigger a special dialogue and wrap up the commission.

How to know it worked

When you reach the encampment, you will see other Sunya gathered around Adler, and a side notification reads “Nullification Complete – Fawn Alone.” The interaction prompt “Thus Spoke Sunya” appears at the camp, and your rewards drop in on screen at that point.

Note: The most common reason the chase fails to start is the time of day. If the Fawn never spawns, reopen the Time System and confirm the clock sits between 23:00 and 00:00 before waiting again.

Who the Sunya are

The Fawn you chase is a Sunya, a deer-like Oddity tied to the Object Anomaly known as “Enlightenment.” Once Enlightenment recognizes an owner, the Sunya follow along as assistants to whoever bears the armor. Much of the record on the armor’s exact origin has been lost over years of upheaval.

Five Sunya are currently documented, and each has its own personality and skills. Rupa is the youngest and helps with daily chores, Vedana is the most affectionate, Sanna excels at calligraphy and painting, Sankhara is the combat specialist, and Vinnana is the eldest and prefers to stay out of the spotlight. You will find several of them waiting at the camp alongside Adler once the chase ends.
