Once Human runs on scenarios, which are self-contained sandbox maps that rotate every season and last around six weeks each. When a scenario ends and you move to new content, the game strips your character back to a fresh start while quietly preserving a specific set of currencies, blueprints, and cosmetics. Knowing which pile your items fall into decides how much of a head start you keep going into the next season.
Quick answer: Move any weapons, armor, and blueprints you want to keep into the Spacetime Backpack before you switch scenarios. Currencies, gear blueprints, mods, cosmetics, house blueprints, and story progress carry over on their own. Everything left loose in your normal inventory when the scenario changes is deleted.

What resets when a scenario ends
The reset is designed to put returning and new players on even footing. Your character keeps its identity, so you never have to create a brand new one, but the numbers and world state around it go back to zero.
| Resets to zero | What it means |
|---|---|
| Character level | Back to Level 1 in the new scenario. |
| World Map exploration | Waypoints and location discoveries are hidden again and must be re-found. |
| Link Energy (Energy Links) | Progress is wiped. |
| Season Goal progress | Season-specific goals do not follow you. |
| Gear and Memetics unlocked in-season | You re-level and re-acquire them. |
| Hives and Warbands | Groups reset, so alliances form fresh each season. |
| Base structures | Built structures are removed, though a saved House Blueprint lets you rebuild. |
Any materials and items that are not stored in the Seasonal Backpack or Spacetime Backpack at the moment you switch scenarios are lost. This is the single most common way players lose gear, so clear your inventory before you commit to the change.

A large slice of progression is inherited without any extra effort. These items appear in the new scenario or wait for you in the Eternaland depot.
| Category | Carried over |
|---|---|
| Currencies | Starchroms, Crystgins, Mitsuko’s Marks, Stellar Planula, and Sproutlets. |
| Gear | Gear Blueprints and their star ratings, Blueprint Fragments, Weapon Accessories, and Mods. |
| Furniture | Furniture Formulas you have learned, except those unlocked through Memetics. |
| Building | Saved House Blueprints, which rebuild with lower-tier materials if advanced ones are missing. |
| Cosmetics | Fashion, character customization data, expressions and poses, namecards, and titles. |
| Story | Main and Side Story task progress, with streamlined repeat versions available for rewards. |
| Social | Your full friend list, including past Warband members. |
Cosmetic and scenario-exclusive special items obtained before you start a new scenario also stay, and that includes content purchased through in-game stores and Season Pass rewards that count as Special Items or Gifts.

Account-wide items that never disappear
A short list of special items is treated as account-wide, meaning they persist through every scenario change without needing to be stored manually. These include Stellar Planula, Chrysalis Tokens, Scenario Exit Cards, Mitsuko Marks, and Colorful Badges.
Note: Some cross-character rewards remain available, but certain consumables expire once opened at the end of a season. Open time-limited consumables only when you actually intend to use them.
The Spacetime Backpack and the 30-day window
When a season ends, regular items such as loose blueprints are not deleted outright. They move into the Spacetime Backpack, which works as a temporary holding inventory that bridges scenarios.
You have 30 days to move those items onto a new character in a new scenario. Miss that deadline and the contents are transferred automatically to Eternaland and converted into Astral Sand, the currency used to buy Eternaland-only resources. Unclaimed seasonal rewards like unopened chests and unused currency follow the same 30-day rule.

How Eternaland transfers work
Eternaland is a permanent, personal space that sits outside the seasonal servers, so it is unaffected by wipes. It unlocks at level 20 after you complete the Realm of Nightmares quest in Iron Rivers, which then opens the Eternaland quest itself.
Weapons, armor, and resources like medicines and ammo are sent to the Eternaland depot when a new season starts. You can also push items into storage manually using the Spacetime Backpack. To bring stored items back into an active season, spend Logistic Points (also referred to as Material Points), which refresh each season and cap how much you can pull across at once. Because of that cap, prioritize high-value gear over common materials you can farm again quickly.
Server phases and Permanent Scenarios
You can keep playing a past scenario indefinitely as long as you stay inside it and do not start a different one. The reset only triggers the moment you sign up for new content.
Scenario servers do eventually reset once they reach their final phase, which is often phase 6. At that point, players who want to continue the same experience move to an off-season version or a Permanent Scenario. If you want the latest content and Season Pass rewards, you have to move onto the newest scenario servers instead.

Checklist before you switch scenarios

How to confirm your progress transferred
Open the Season Info or season progress screen in-game before you commit. It lists exactly which items are retained and which are heading to the Eternaland depot for your account, so you can verify nothing important is about to be dropped.
After the switch, your character will show as Level 1 with a hidden map, which confirms the reset ran as intended. Your carried currencies, blueprints, mods, and cosmetics should already be present, and anything sent to storage will be waiting in Eternaland accessed from the main menu. If gear is missing, check the Spacetime Backpack and remember the 30-day window before it converts to Astral Sand.
